Tyler's POV

I'm in my room smoking weed with my friend group. My parents are at Morgan's volleyball game so I have lots of time to air out my room before they come home.

"I haven't gotten any good financial aid packets back." Nolan complains

"I've only gotten rejections from all the schools I wanna attend. I might get stuck at a random fucking private college." Edwin sighed

"Nepotism at its finest." Amelie teased

"Okay miss valedictorian."

"I'm not Valedictorian." She spat bitterly

"Salutatorian?"

"I'm fucking third behind the fucking Volkovs! It's seriously bullshit that a little kid gets to waltz into our grade and automatically gets the top spot."

"She has the best grades and the most difficult course load. There's nothing bullshit about it. Even without Adriana in the picture you still wouldn't be valedictorian because Xander is salutatorian." I pointed out

"He has a fucking attitude problem. They should take social standing with faculty and behavior into consideration."

"Or you could've worked harder to be at the top instead of coming up with handicaps."

"Why the fuck are you defending them so hard?"

"Cause you're being a bitter bitch."

"Tyler you're being a dick." The others stepped in

I rolled my eyes and began rolling another blunt

One blunt later

"Fuck, I can feel colors."

"Yeah this shit is strong. Where did you get it?" Nolan asked

"I stole it from my brother in law." I answered

I was fully laying on my bed trying to ride out this high.

"Dude it's almost nine. We should probably leave soon."

"Yeah, my family will be home around ten."

"We're out then." They started packing up their stuff

"Can we talk in private?" Amelie asked

"Sure."

"Guys wait for me in my car." She tossed her keys

She was the designated driver since she didn't smoke today

They left and she stood there awkwardly

"What is it Amelie?"

"Things got heated between us earlier and I just wanted to apologize. Adriana and I don't get along and I-"

"Look I don't need an apology just don't talk bad about them and we'll get along." I cut her off

"I don't get why you defend her so much. All she does is cause drama and ask for male attention. It's embarrassing."

"Stop projecting your personality onto her."

"I'm not like that! I don't beg for male validation."

"Then what are you doing right now? You pride yourself on being smart, athletic, pretty, and drama free since you only hangout with guys."

"You're being mean."

"And you're being annoying."

"Ugh Why do you care if I like her or not?"
