Malik and Xavier were the first ones to leave, they left the files with me so I'm gonna try to sort that out next week. I still haven't heard or seen from West at all so I'm hoping he comes to school on Monday. Indiah stayed for a little longer, I talked with her and we basically just spent time together as per usual. I didn't let her leave until I knew she was feeling better.
But now my family is back home
"How was your day with aunt Larisa"
"Oh it was great, I got princess treatment today. We got a pedicure and then we went and did some shopping and got Thai food." My mom tells me as we sit at the island
"What'd you buy"
"You mean did I buy you guys anything", She replies knowingly
I scoff, "I'm asking what you got for yourself too"
She eats a forkful of chipotle, I let her have the rest of my food from earlier. "Mhm, I know you well. I got some clothes for myself, you and your sisters' shit is upstairs"
"Really?", I ask excitedly
"Yes really"
I love when she goes shopping
Mom then frowns as she continues to chew "What'd you do today, you look unkept"
I gape at her, "Hey"
"You know what I mean, you're in your dad's clothes and you've had your bonnet on all day. You smell good though"
For the record, my mother was put onto this earth to humble me. She'll violate the hell out of me and then throw in a compliment at the end, I suppose I do that to her sometimes but that's beside the point.
"I've had cramps all day"
"Fair enough"
"Xavier came round", I let her know
"You guys chill upstairs?"
I nod, "Yeah"
"Mmk"
"So you don't mind if he comes over"
Mom snorts "Of course I don't mind, baby he's not a stranger. But I do think that you should tell your dad because this is really killing me"
"I don't know...."
"Mari he might surprise you", She says softly
"I wouldn't even know how to say it"
"Just be like dad I have a boyfriend, let it sink in. The worst he'll do is freeze-
"Pardon?", I hear from behind us
uh oh....
I groan, "Mama why would you say that-
"I didn't know he was here", She defends whilst turning back
"I really hope I didn't hear that correctly" Dad says as he looks at me expectantly
"You know what no, don't give her that look Treyton. She's scared to tell you that she has a boyfriend and it shouldn't be that way"
"I wasn't scared", I defend
Mom deadpans me
"Ok I was scared"
"She should be-
"Chill"
"What do you even know about relationships?", He questions me
"Pfft, what do you know?" I return
"Ask your mother, seeing as I managed to wife her fifteen years ago"
