We spent half an hour taking notes for social studies and then Phillips ultimately decided that she couldn't be bothered to teach so she left us to it, she just said no one could get out of their seats.
This whole lesson I've noticed how Amariah's mind seems to be elsewhere, there's a pattern of words that she usually spells wrong but this time round she had a few more spelling errors.
"You know you've been tapping your pen for about ten minutes now"
She frowns before realising and putting it down, still keeping her eyes on the clock.
"What's up with you", I say confused
"Nothing"
"Bs and you know it"
She looks at me, "I just want class to end. That's all"
"Rushing off to go somewhere?"
She doesn't answer my question and stays looking at the clock, I figured that I might use this time to bring up the party.
"So who gave you that hickey at Blair's party?"
"Aren't you feeling nosy today"
"I mean you lied and said it was me so you can understand why I'm curious"
"You had a whole lot of time to ask me this question and you choose now?"
"You're stalling"
"I got it from my boyfriend", She says simply
Shes got a boyfriend?
"You have a boyfriend?"
"Don't act so surprised"
I mean I'm not surprised, she's very pretty and that's not a lie but she's pretty innocent, the only guys I've seen her talk to are CJ and Archie.
"So you cheated on your boyfriend and kissed me-
"Mmm no, we weren't together at the time"
Weirdly I feel the need to ask questions about this boyfriend of hers, like does he go here or not. Has she had sex with him?
Soon enough she looks away from the clock, tilting her head at me. "So are you ever gonna tell me about the thing I keep asking you about or are you gonna avoid it all the time-
"It's none of your business"
"Right so you get to be in other people's business but the minute they do the same it's like how dare you"
"Exactly that"
She waves me off, "Whatever"

I've been pretty distracted today only because I want the day to end fast so that I can call my mother, I know that GG's with her right now but I'm just scared that I'll get a text saying she passed out again. And what if next time it's much more serious.
"Girl what's up with you?", Indiah interrupts my train of thought as she opens her locker
"What?"
"You been staring out the window for the past minute, did you even hear anything I said?"
I frown, "What'd you say"
"Nothing, forget it-
"No I'm sorry what was it?" I ask sincerely
"I'm going to Archie's today"
I raise my brows with surprise, "You're what?"
"For our project, and maybe a little more. I'm still tryna figure out how I feel bout him"
