Since the day I met you

I was actually dreading going back to school, mostly because I thought there'd be whispers. I woke up, got ready and can I just say that this will be the first time in a while where I've gone to school without even just a little bit of makeup.

Mom smiled when I came downstairs, "There's my daughter's beautiful face"

"Oh you didn't hear? I got it from my mom"

"Well she did very good passing her genes down"

She gave me my pills to have with some breakfast and then after that I left for school with my sisters.

"Can I play music?", Neveah asks as she gets into the passenger side

I nod whilst keeping my eyes on my phone, I had a message waiting for me from Xavier.

Zay❤️: morning beautiful, have a good day. imma call u later
Me: hey, u have a good day too. You at school?
Zay❤️: unfortunately

He wanted to go and watch Malik's trial but his dad told him to go to school, same with Indiah.

Anyway speaking of school, when I had arrived everything was fine. Nobody knew about what happened between West and I at the charity ball,  I was being praised on behalf of my mom because she did good job with the ball and the food was also much better than usual. A lot of money was raised.

I also learned that CJ and Archie haven't spoken since the day they were all at my house, Archie's still mad at him for telling Blair about him looking at other girls or some shit like that. CJ couldn't care less, he has other friends anyway.

"So mom and dad are here for about three days, they're staying to check on things but I know that's bullshit. Their flight got cancelled" Blair says as she stretches her leg against me

We're currently at cheer practise

"Damn girl"

"It's whatever I'm used to it, they don't care so I don't care"

"You know you don't have to pretend with me"

She shrugs and my face softens, "B. Talk to them, tell them you want them to stay"

"What good would that do"

"Trust me sometimes talking is the only way to go, just sit them down and tell them exactly how you feel. And tell them how you hate being home alone all the time, it's practically neglect"

I'm just trying to tell her how it is because I know she'd do it for me, but I remember how a couple years ago Blair would always get into trouble at school. She'd either be in detention or be getting sent out of class, B would do so much just to get her parents attention. But because at the time her aunt was staying with her she'd be the one to get called in for the parent meetings, it was so sad to see.

"Yeah I know....That reminds me actually, my mom invited you guys over for dinner tomorrow night, I know it's kinda last minute so if you guys don't wanna-

I immediately agree "B we'll come. You know we got you"

It's not that her mom's necessarily rude and careless towards us, it's just all aimed towards Blair.

She smiles a little, "Alright. Thank you"

"No problem"

"So what's going on with your situation?"

"Malik's trial started today, although I'm not too worried because uncle Darnel seems sure that if he gets sentenced it won't be a long one. Most of it will be a fine"
