"Katherine looked just like you, it was freakish." Bonnie shuddered as she walked behind Elena.

"She is my ancestor." Elena muttered. "Hey, by the way I moved the student booth into the cafeteria." She told Sasha.

Sasha looked up from her clipboard and sighed. "That's a serious last minute change but I can make it work, I guess."

The brunette spoke as she scribbled something.

Bonnie looked at both of the highly distracted girls.

"She's your vampire ancestor and she didn't just resemble you like a family member would. She was you." Bonnie continued.

Elena set the box she had been carrying on a table.

"We need to count these." She told Sasha before turning to face Bonnie. "Look, I don't know, I can't explain it. It's creepy, that's all I got.

"How do you know she's not still out there pretending to be you?" Bonnie asked crossing her arms, she eyed Sasha who was currently counting the plush toys in the box in front of her.

"I don't but I could sit here and be tortured by the not-knowing or I could get these prizes to the ring toss." Elena spoke as she turned back to the table. She nodded at Sasha. "How many?"

"Thirty three." Sasha spoke before writing down the number.

"Have you talked to Damon since he killed Jeremy or tried to kill Jeremy?" Bonnie asked.

"No Bonnie, I haven't and I won't and I don't want to talk about Damon or anything else that's vampire related okay?" Elena spoke impatiently. "I'm human. And I have to do human stuff. Otherwise, I'm going to go crazy."

Sasha looked at Elena picking up on her frustration. She had explained how Damon had just snapped Jeremy's neck without blinking because he was upset.

Sasha wanted to say she wasn't surprised but she was. Damon showed these little bits of humanity and then just turned around and did... that?

Sasha had especially been surprised because she thought Damon was actually decent to Elena of all people.

She remembered Bonnie's comment at the hospital when it came to helping Caroline. He didn't do it for the sake of a truce or anything like that. He did it for Elena and it was clear to see.

"Okay, I'm sorry, I'll focus." Bonnie spoke as she stepped up to the table.

She then turned to glance at Sasha who was going through her clipboard obsessively like she had been doing for the last thirty minutes.

"Okay but one more thing before we all continue pretending our problems don't exist." Bonnie spoke. She bit her lower lip nervously before turning to face her sister. "Are we really not going to talk about Mason being back?"

Elena peeked up at Sasha. She could tell that just like her, Sasha had been especially avoiding her own issues. And right now that issue was named Mason Lockwood.

Sasha looked up to find both Bonnie and Elena looking at her.

"We don't talk about the devil." Sasha spoke coldly before looking back at the clipboard.

Bonnie and Elena shared a 'yikes' look

Bonnie picked up the box.

"We should get back to work anyway. We have to make Caroline proud or she will kill us. I don't know how she does all of this."

Elena looked up at Bonnie playfully. "Well because she's not human, obviously."

"Obviously." Bonnie responded and both girls laughed.
