"Are you sure about this?" Emma asked Katherine as she looked out the car window at the Salvatore boarding house.

Katherine was dabbing lipgloss on using the rearview mirror to examine her reflection.

Emma sighed and tapped on the staring wheel anxiously.

Katherine studied her. "Don't do that. You never get anxious. Why are you anxious?"

Emma slumped back in her seat. "According to you, these people managed to stake Elijah. Do you know how difficult that is? To take down an original?"

"Well one thing about Damon? When he has the right motivation, there's very little you can do to stop him." Katherine muttered.

"He wasn't nearly this fiesty when I met him." Emma spoke looking at Katherine.

"Oh my gosh, do not develop a crush please."

Emma grinned. "Why not? We've collided before. He just doesn't remember. Besides he's not the one you want."

"True." Katherine shrugged. She ran a hand through her straight hair. "How do I look? Basic and bland?"

"Exactly like your doppelgänger." Emma commented.

"Perfect." Katherine spoke. "So here's the plan, I'm gonna get on their good side, tell them I'm there to help with Klaus. And that the only way I can do that -"

"Is through me." Emma took in a breath.

Katherine nodded. "Exactly."

Emma looked in the direction of the house. "And what if they don't believe you and try to kill you?"

"I can be very persuasive as you know." Katherine spoke.

"I don't get why we can't just go with my plan? Jonas has Alisha Bennett's magic. My magic. We can just go to him and -"

"Stir the pot? No Emma." Katherine spoke as she held on to her friends hands. "I hate to say this but we need allies and you said it yourself. Taking down Elijah wasn't easy. They pulled it off because they did it together. Klaus will be much harder. We need them... at least to distract him while you take your kill shot."

Emma looked off into the distance a frown on her face.

"So Elijah is really -"

"Yes." Katherine spoke. She paused. "How do you feel?"

"I feel nothing." Emma spoke.

Katherine sat back. She looked at Emma.

"Pardon me for asking." Katherine spoke somewhat snarkily, "but wasn't that the point of turning in the first place? If you get your magic back - you'll be connected to them once more."

Her and Emma would have been mikes away by now if Emma didn't insist on a quest that Katherine personally saw as regressive.

Emma swallowed hard. "I know. But I'll never be their prisoner again. Never."

Katherine sighed. "We'll go with my plan to try and get the Salvatores to hear you out. Damon will be the hardest to convince."

Emma scoffed. "Damon will be the problem. Well you and I both know I can take care of that in a second."

Katherine smirked. "Get your own play things."

"He was my play thing first, remember?" She winked.

Katherine rolled her eyes. "Well you compelled those memories away so good luck getting them back."
