"And here we go." Sasha announced as her, Bonnie, Luka and Matt set down the table they had been carrying.

"This looks like a good spot." Bonnie commented as she looked around the town square, placing her hands on her hips.

Sasha frowned.

People had already started filing in for the memorial.

Sasha hated that Mystic Falls had become this place of constant death.

Different families were coming here today to mourn everyone they had lost.

Sasha was grateful that Mrs Lockwood had declared this day for that. God knows she of all people knew how painful it was to believe no one in this world cared that you had lost someone.

She hadn't hesitated to volunteer to help out and she was glad Bonnie and Matt had decided to do this with her.

"We should go get the candles." Matt spoke.

"I'll help." Luka offered as him and Matt walked away.

When they were gone, Bonnie walked up to her sister and placed an arm around her shoulder.

"Hey, how are you holding up?" Bonnie asked. She could sense that Sasha was hurting.

Sasha leaned her head on her sister's shoulder.

"Honestly, I hate death." Sasha spoke.

Bonnie wrapped her other arm around her so that she was embracing her.

"Me too." Bonnie sighed as she thought of their Grams.

If there was a way to bring back the people they loved, she would do it in a heartbeat.

Sasha lifted her head off Bonnie's shoulder.

"It was really nice of Luka to volunteer for this." Sasha spoke.

He was still fairly new to town and Sasha wondered what guy would be cool with volunteering for a town memorial where he didn't even know many people.

"Yeah, he's kinda cute like that." Bonnie commented.

"Ooh... you really like him." Sasha teased as she nudged her sister.

Bonnie rolled her eyes but smiled. "And?"

"And nothing." Sasha spoke. "I love seeing you happy, Bon."

Bonnie took her sister's hand in hers. "You know what? I like seeing me happy too. Thanks Sash."

Sasha knew how much Bonnie deserved this. She had so many people she put before herself, she was glad she had someone she cared about who liked her too.

"Speaking of..." Bonnie trailed off. "Have you spoken to Elena?"

Sasha sighed.

She saw the look of concern Bonnie gave her.

She had decided that she would tell Elena about her feelings for Stefan.

Only because she thought she owed it to one of her oldest friends.

Having feelings for her boyfriend already felt like an ultimate betrayal.

Sasha had already decided that she would keep her distance. But before Elena started asking questions, she wanted to make things clear that her goal was never to make moves on him.

"Not yet. But I plan on doing it later today." Sasha spoke.

After the memorial she would go see Elena and tell her everything.

Bonnie squeezed her sister's hand. She then pulled her in for another hug.

"I know this doesn't change how much this sucks but you're the bravest girl I've ever met. You know that?" She asked.
