The Sun Also Rises Part II

Jeremy let out a frustrated huff as he set down the grimoire he had obsessively been flipping through.

"This is useless." He spoke. "All these grimoires. There has to be something in here to keep Elena from becoming a vampire."

Bonnie who was beside him looked up.

"And we'll keep looking. Until the last minute." She reassured him.

Sabrina pace coming back with another of the Martin grimoires. "Yeah and we need to do it quick to get to Ali too."

Bonnie stiffened. Jeremy immediately noticed. He could tell she was trying to keep her head in the game but she was obviously worried.

Sasha was and Ali was in Klaus' grasp. There was no telling what could happen to either of them yet she was here trying to keep his sister alive.

"I don't get it. Why don't we just go there? I could show up with the rest of the vamp squad and bump some heads." Sabrina spoke in frustration.

Jeremy looked at her not helping his amusement. "Not exactly how it works when you're dealing with thousand year old vampires, Sab."

Sabrina just realised Jeremy used her nickname. Something he never did.

They met eyes as Jeremy realised his use of the affectionate nickname as well but they quickly looked away from each other.

Now wasn't the time. Not with Ali missing.

"Let's keep looking." Jeremy spoke. "I know Ali will do something to stall the spell. We can trust her on that."

Jeremy never liked this part of the plan and watching Ali go off into such a dangerous situation made his chest feel like it was on fire. He wished he could have gone with her.

His not sure what he would have done but he just wanted to be close in case of anything.

Now he just hoped they would be able to do something in time.

Stefan arrived outside the old witch house just as Alaric was exiting his car.

Elijah was already standing outside waiting for them.

Stefan marched up to where he stood ready and hoping for some good news from not only him but Bonnie who was down in the basement looking for ways to keep Elena alive.

Stefan's mind drifted to Sasha wondering where she was and why she had gone quiet like this when he needed her. When they all did. It wasn't like her and he hoped she was okay as well.

"Okay." Stefan announced to the two men. "How much time do we have."

Elijah looked up at the sky as it was getting dark.

"The sacrifice is completed in stages as the full moon sets. First the werewolf is killed, then the vampire. Finally the doppelgänger. Once Elena dies, Alisha breaks the curse and Klaus will become a hybrid."

"So when do we attack?" Alaric asked.

"Elena death will activate his dormant werewolf side. He'll be vulnerable during the transformation. That's when the Bennett twins  come in." Elijah explained.
