"Thanks for letting me hang out here, my house is suddenly the Cold War." Alisha spoke as she followed Jeremy up to his room.
"You're always welcome here, Ali." He spoke as he walked down the hallway.
"But what's going on again?" He asked turning to glance at her.
"Well Caroline's a vampire now." Alisha spoke with a sigh. "Katherine killed her."
She didn't know when it had become okay for her to say such things but someone her life had grown into something that involved her saying such things.
"Bonnie's mad and Sasha's on the fence so they argued pretty much all night about it." Alisha explained.
Bonnie had said she didn't want anything to do with vampires at all anymore. Sasha said the she agreed but Stefan was her friend and Caroline was their friend too and about how they couldn't abandon her.
Bonnie believe vampires were inherently evil and couldn't fight their nature. She didn't want to be a by stander while vampires like Damon hurt others.
Sasha on the other hand didn't want to not get involved and still have people get hurt. So she wanted to do what she could to prevent it.
Alisha understood where they were both coming from.
And to some extent she understood both of them.
Caroline did hurt someone. Someone who probably had a family, friends and a life. They couldn't just ignore it and pretend it hadn't happened because they didn't know the guy.
That shouldn't be how the world works, vampire or not.
But they had all known Caroline for years and she had been killed. Alisha didn't know anything about the transition or process but she could imagine how scared Caroline must have been.
Her whole life had been turned around.
"Do you think we would still be friends if you had become a vampire?" Alisha asked as she followed Jeremy into his room.
She sat on his bed cross legged.
Jeremy turned to look at Alisha confused.
"Do you think you'd be scared of me?"
"I'm not afraid of vampires anymore." She spoke confidently.
"I just wonder if..."
"I would be a monster?" Jeremy guessed.
Alisha bit her lower lip nervously before nodding.
"Do you think all vampires could be inherently evil?" She asked.
Jeremy thought about Ali's question. "After what happened with Uncle John. Him telling me all vampires were evil, maybe I would have believed it but Stefan's good, Anna had been good."
Alisha saw Jeremy frown slightly when he said her name.
"But we saw bad sides to all of them." Alisha pointed out.
For the first part of knowing her, Anna had just been trying to use Jeremy.
Stefan had almost killed Sabrina...
Don't even get her started on Damon, Sean and Katherine.
"I think..." Jeremy shook his head and sighed.
His mind went back to how he had confronted Damon the night before wanting to kill him.
"I think we all have monstrous sides. And I think like every human, vampires have the choice to decide which part they want to show."
