< and I'm back again >

He hated pretty much everything. He didn't trust anyone anymore. He felt used. He felt disrespected. But most of all, he felt betrayed.

He was betrayed by a person. He thought was his best friend. The one person he thought was meant to be there for him through his ups and Downs. But this one person broke his trust. And now he didn't know who to trust. He didn't know if he could, but he wanted somebody to understand him. He had to do everything alone and he didn't know how to, because his best friend did most of it for him but now the trust was broken, and he needed to find a way to do things alone.

Babe hated being used. He hated being looked at differently but he hated the fact that his best friend broke his trust and broke his heart into pieces, and he didn't know what to do with his life now that he was alone.

One day, Babe came across a guy, who had been beaten by a few people he hadn't even known. He walked right by and looked at the scene but left. He stood around the corner and he turned around and went back. Babe got to the alleyway where he saw the fight happen. He yelled out and told them to stop what they were doing. The guys that were beating up this one person stop what they're doing. They then walk towards Babe but then they stop in their tracks, because no one underestimates Babe, and this time he has a reason to fight. He had a reason to lay out his anger and on top of that, he was saving a person who may have just been a guy, Babe needed in life.

When Babe noticed that this guy was getting beaten, he wanted to do something about it and he finally had a reason to want to take his anger out on something and better yet he could do it on these stupid people. When Babe took out the first guy, the other two surrendered and Babe had then called the cops and they were taken to jail.

Babe had then helped this guy up from the ground. He said "I hope you're OK. I'm sorry if I just walked away, anyways I have things to do, so I better go home," And Babe left just like that. This other guy calls out and says "Hang on where are you going? You don't even know my name." Babe turns around as he stops and says "I don't need to. I don't trust anyone and I sure as hell won't trust you. I'm not going to trust you but stay out of trouble okay?" And Babe just left.

Babe went home sat down on his couch turned off every single light in his house and sat there in the dark thinking through what had just happened, not so long ago.

He thought about how he just beat up 3 guys and saved one. He thought about wanting to do this to his ex-best friend, but he couldn't and he didn't. He wanted to, but he couldn't because he was his best friend to begin with.

A Couple of months go by and Babe meets this one guy again. Babe meets the guy he saved in the alleyway.

"I believe this was the second time we've met now. I think now it's time to know my name, don't you think?" Charlie says.

Babe didn't think twice, but then he said, "So what's your name gonna tell me, or do I have to guess?" Charlie then replies. "Charlie, that's my name."

"It's good to put a face with a name. It's nice to meet you, Charlie, my name is Babe. Just don't get your hopes up on getting to know me, because I don't trust so easily." Babe then sits at the bar and tries to drown himself in alcohol but it doesn't work because some guy comes at him and the first thing he does is protect himself by convering his face with his arms.

The guy who had run at Babe had been holding an empty glass bottle and on the impact of hitting Babe, Babe had a shard of glass deep in his arm which was then seen by Charlie who hadn't yet been drunk or left.

Charlie ran towards Babe so quickly that he immediately pulled Babe into the bathroom nearby and immediately patched him up, after taking out the shard of glass.

"Thank you for helping me patch this up but us becoming friends or anything. I still don't trust easily," Babe said.

Charlie nodded understandingly. "I get it. But thank you for what you did for me that day. You didn't have to help me, but you did. And I won't forget that."

Babe nodded and for the first time in a long time, he felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, he could learn to trust again. Maybe, Charlie could be the friend he needed or something more. And maybe, just maybe, he could start to let go of the hatred and betrayal that had consumed him for so long.

Maybe Babe could finally trust another human being, and just maybe, that person could be Charlie.
