"Just admit it, you like me."

"I won't admit something to you that is completely wrong. I don't like you, Pat."

"Come on, everyone knows you are head over heels in love with me. Come on admit it to me."

Pat had been a complete ass hole to Pran when it came to them being out in the open, but it was a whole other story when it came to them being inside an enclosed area.

At home, Pran and Pat weren't enemies.

But in the open world of their friends and enemies, they had a whole other relationship.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Pat. We have a perfectly civil relationship when we're at home, but that's where it ends. I have no feelings for you beyond that," Pran insisted, trying to keep his cool.

Pat chuckled smugly, refusing to back down. "You can deny it all you want, but I know the truth. You can't hide your feelings from me forever," Pat taunted.

Pran rolled his eyes, feeling exasperated. "I don't have to prove anything to you. Just leave it alone, Pat."

But Pat continued to push, convinced that Pran was just playing hard to get. The truth was, Pran did have feelings for Pat, but he wasn't about to admit it to someone who had treated him so poorly in public.

In the end, Pran knew that Pat's arrogance and persistence would only drive him further away. Despite his feelings, he couldn't bring himself to admit them to someone who didn't deserve to hear them. So, he held his ground, refusing to give in to Pat's taunts and manipulation.

Despite his resolve, Pran couldn't help but feel conflicted. He knew he deserved better than Pat's mistreatment and manipulation, but a part of him still longed for the connection they had at home. It was a complex mix of emotions that left him feeling frustrated and unsure.

As days turned into weeks, Pat's persistence only grew stronger, and it became increasingly difficult for Pran to ignore his own feelings. He found himself questioning whether it was worth holding onto his pride at the cost of his own happiness.

Pran grappled with the idea of confronting Pat and laying everything out on the table, but the fear of rejection and humiliation held him back. The thought of allowing himself to be vulnerable with someone who had belittled him in public made his stomach churn.

Deep down, Pran knew that he couldn't keep denying his feelings. He had to come to terms with the truth, even if it meant confronting Pat and risking rejection. But until then, Pran remained steadfast in his decision not to admit his feelings to someone who didn't appreciate him for who he truly was. Only time would tell if Pat's persistence would eventually break through Pran's defenses, or if he would find the strength to stand his ground and demand the respect he deserved.

As time passed, Pran couldn't shake the undeniable feeling of longing he had for Pat. Despite everything, there was a part of him that still hoped for a change in their relationship.

One evening, as they sat together at home, the tension between them was palpable. Pat finally broke the silence, his usual cocky demeanor replaced by a vulnerable expression.

"You know, Pran, I've been a jerk to you in public. I was a fool to treat you that way. The truth is, I've had feelings for you for a long time, and I didn't know how to deal with them," Pat admitted, his voice uncharacteristically soft.

Pran was taken aback, not expecting such a confession from Pat. His heart raced as he struggled to process Pat's words.

"I... I didn't expect you to say that," Pran replied, visibly shaken by the revelation.

"I know I don't deserve forgiveness, but I want to make things right, especially with you. I want to try and have a real relationship with you, if you'd give me a chance," Pat pleaded, his guard completely down.

For a moment, Pran was speechless. Despite all of Pat's previous actions, the sincerity in his eyes was difficult to ignore. After a long pause, Pran finally spoke up.

"I never thought I'd hear this from you. It's going to take time for me to trust you again, but I'm willing to give it a chance," Pran said, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

From that moment on, they took slow, hesitant steps towards rebuilding their relationship. It was a process filled with ups and downs, but as they worked through their issues, they began to build something real and meaningful. Eventually, they found themselves in a healthier, more honest relationship, free from the toxicity that had plagued them in the past. It was a journey that required patience, forgiveness, and a willingness to change, but in the end, it was worth it for both Pran and Pat.
