Black never knew that the feelings he had in his heart were for Gram because he always thought that the love he held deep inside his heart was for the girl he called his girlfriend but that was beside the point, he held a love so strong that Gram could see it with the way he treated the girl compared to how he treated him.

Black treated the girl with respect and honesty but he treated Gram similarly but completely differently.

Black did not know it yet but he was deeply in love with Gram as Gram was with him, they just haven't reciprocated their feelings to one another yet.
