Pete' POV

It took two of us to do this and now we live with this guilt because you couldn't hold your temper long enough that you just lashed out and now he isn't alive but buried 6 feet deep in a graveyard that was abandoned a long time ago.

He is buried and now we live like it never happened, but I'm still upset about this and I don't want to die knowing you killed someone nice to me because that is no excuse to just kill a man because he was nice to your boyfriend, that is just jealousy.

Author.

"Vegas I can't keep this to myself anymore, we need to turn ourselves in for what we did, please" Pete was scared because he knew that his boyfriend wanted to kill that man before but he held it in long enough but this time it was just it for Vegas and now a couple months later and they are still holding this guilt between them.

"Baby, we already buried him and he is gone, you don't need to be guilty, I was the one that killed him not you. okay love, but if you want to turn me in, you can." Vegas knew that Pete would not be able to hold it in him this long or longer but then another 2 months went by and Pete hadn't gone to the police or anything, he loved Vegas so much that he kept this between them.

4 months was the amount of time they kept this secret to themselves and then something else happened that had given them yet another secret.

"Vegas, I can't keep this to myself anymore, we need to turn ourselves in for what we did, please," Pete pleaded, his voice filled with fear and guilt.

"Baby, we already buried him and he is gone, you don't need to be guilty. I was the one that killed him, not you. Okay, love. But if you want to turn me in, you can," Vegas responded, trying to reassure Pete.

But Pete couldn't shake the feeling of guilt that gnawed at him day and night. "I can't live with this anymore, Vegas. We need to do the right thing and confess," he insisted, his voice shaking.

After much deliberation, they made the difficult decision to go to the police and confess to their crime. As they walked into the police station, their hearts raced with fear and uncertainty.

"I killed him," Vegas admitted to the police, his voice barely above a whisper. "And I helped him," Pete confessed, tears welling up in his eyes.

The weight of their confession lifted off their shoulders as the truth spilled out. They were arrested and charged for their crime, but as they sat in their jail cells, they knew they had finally done the right thing. It was a long road ahead, but they were ready to face the consequences of their actions and finally begin to heal.

Pete and Vegas sat in their respective jail cells, the reality of their actions sinking in. They had finally come clean, but the consequences of their choices weighed heavily on them. As they reflected on the events that led them to this point, they were filled with remorse and regret.

"I can't believe we did this," Pete muttered to himself, his head hanging low. "I never thought it would come to this. How did we let it get so out of hand?" Vegas shook his head in dismay, unable to find the words to respond.

Despite their guilt and shame, a sense of relief washed over them. The burden of their dark secret had been lifted, and they were no longer prisoners to their own lies. They knew that facing the consequences of their actions was the first step towards redemption.

In the days that followed, Pete and Vegas had time to reflect on their past choices and the impact they had on their lives and the lives of others. They knew that they had a long road ahead of them, but they were determined to make amends and start fresh.

As they sat in their jail cells, they found solace in each other's company. They may have lost their freedom, but they had gained a sense of acceptance and a newfound appreciation for honesty and integrity. Pete and Vegas were ready to begin the process of healing and redemption, no matter how difficult the journey may be.

Fifteen long years had passed since Pete and Vegas had made their confession and been sentenced to prison. As they walked out of the prison gates, free men at last, a mix of emotions flooded over them.

Pete couldn't believe that so much time had passed. Everything seemed different – the world had moved on without them. He felt a strange mix of excitement and apprehension about what lay ahead.

Vegas, on the other hand, felt a sense of trepidation about re-entering society. Would people ever forgive them for what they had done? Would they ever be able to move on from their past?

Despite their uncertainties, one thing was clear: Pete and Vegas had each other. They had endured the darkest moments of their lives together in that prison cell, and they knew they could rely on each other as they faced the challenges of rebuilding their lives.

With a deep breath, Pete turned to Vegas and said, "We made it, love. We have a second chance now. Let's make the most of it." Vegas nodded, a faint smile playing on his lips.

As they walked away from the prison, the weight of their past slowly lifted off their shoulders. They knew that their journey was far from over, but they were determined to embrace the future with courage and hope. Pete and Vegas were ready to start anew.

Pete and Vegas had no idea where to start. The world had changed so much in the 15 years they were imprisoned. Technology had advanced, relationships had shifted, and the city they once knew had transformed into something unrecognizable.

They decided to take things one step at a time. With the help of a re-entry program, they found a small apartment to rent and secured some part-time jobs at a local warehouse. It was a far cry from the glamorous lifestyle they once led, but they were grateful for the opportunity to earn an honest living.

Adjusting to life on the outside was not easy. Pete and Vegas faced numerous challenges – from navigating public transportation to learning how to use a smartphone. But they persevered, leaning on each other for support and encouragement.

As they slowly began to rebuild their lives, Pete and Vegas also took steps to make amends for their past actions. They volunteered at a local charity, helping those in need and giving back to the community. They knew they could never fully undo the harm they had caused, but they were determined to make a positive impact wherever they could.

Despite the hurdles they faced, Pete and Vegas found moments of peace and joy in their newfound freedom. They savored simple pleasures like watching the sunrise, sharing a meal together, and feeling the warmth of the sun on their faces.

As they looked toward the future, Pete and Vegas knew that the road ahead would be challenging. But they also knew that they were stronger together, and that as long as they had each other, they could face whatever obstacles came their way. With hope in their hearts and a renewed sense of purpose, Pete and Vegas embarked on a journey of redemption and transformation.
