Yelena had made her way quickly inside of the safe house and grabbed a couple of bottles of water, taking a drink from one of them before heading back outside, tossing the second water to her sparring partner. "Did I go too hard on you, baby bug?" She chuckled as the brunette groaned from her prone position laying on the mats they had set up in the backyard. It seemed to Yelena that she had definitely gone a little too hard on her.

"No," Cassie rolled her eyes, taking a long drink from her water. This was definitely a work out she would be feeling for days but there was no chance in hell she would admit it to the widow. "I think I hold my own."

Yelena chuckled, "you are not so bad. More practice and a little discipline and you could be a very skilled fighter."

Cassie smiled at the compliment, "I'm way better than my dad though, right?"

Yelena threw her head back, laughing, "oh that is a good one. Your dad doesn't even know what left is. He is all right but you show tremendous talent and possibilities, baby bug." She put one of her AirPods in and started her playlist that Kate had made for her. Even if her fiancé couldn't be with her, she always liked to have a small piece of Kate with her. They would take turns making and sending playlists to each other which quickly became the highlight of Yelena's day. She noticed a text from the archer asking her not to kill Cassie while they were training. Yelena just rolled her eyes, snapping a picture of Cassie before sending it off with the message: still very much alive.  She looked back over and saw the girl smiling at her phone, "buttlace texting you?"

Cassie tried to hide her blush, "that's not his name."

"Your deflection answered my question."

"Peter is such a nerd."

Yelena couldn't argue with that, "but you like nerds. I can tell. You flush when he texts you and you start chewing the inside of your cheeks when you are typing out your responses. You should ask him out."

"Me? Ask him?"

"It's not the 50s baby bug. The girls can invite the guys out."

Cassie punched her thigh, "I know that. I'm just not even sure he's into me."

"He's into you." The girl looked at her with the how do you possibly know that expression on her face. "Ex Black Widow. Reading body language is part of my whole thing. He's either into you or he has a problem controlling his sweat glands when you are close by. Plus, his voice cracks more often when you are around. He also told Kate he likes you but trust me. I know what I am talking about."

"The Yelena Belova, world infamous child assassin..."

Yelena rolled her eyes, "you have been talking to Alexei."

"He talks even when no one is listening," she chuckled, "as I was saying... the Yelena Belova giving me dating advice. I knew we were becoming friends."

"Sure," she couldn't help but feel the likeness of Kate coming from this girl. "Whatever you say, baby bug."

"Should I go make our best friends forever bracelets now or later?"

Yelena laughed again, "so funny you are. You think you are getting out of the three mile run?"

"We are still doing that?" Cassie sent a quick text.

Yelena's phone buzzed a second later, "stop telling Kate that i'm trying to kill you. You are perfectly safe. A little annoying but safe. Now, stop whining and start stretching."

"Fine," Cassie grumbled but knew her argument was over when her workout best friend also started her stretches.

Yelena hadn't been paying much attention to anything besides her warm up, stretching out her muscles after the sparring. She started absentmindedly singing softly along with Kate's playlist, "I want to drive away with you. I want your complications too. I want your dreary Mondays..."
