Kate was sitting on the back porch watching as Yelena ran through a variety of physical activities with her mission crew. The archer was offered the opportunity to train with them but she already saw how stressed the blonde looked so she wanted to remain a healthy distance away from the action. She watched as the group went through a series of trials that Yelena and Sonya had set up for the group. Mostly it was them putting Alexei, Scott and Cassie through the training. Melina was always ready to go and Yelena had no concerns about her mother performing. The Bugs got into town earlier that afternoon and the training began almost immediately. They barley had time for a tour. "Yelena's a little high strung today or is it just me?" Peter walked out of the back door with a couple of sodas for him and Kate.
"You can say that again," though she wouldn't lie. Watching Yelena in action really was turning her on. Maybe she should rethink going on the mission. No, her pigs needed her this time. "Thank you for coming to pig sit with me."
"It's no problem at all. I love getting away from the city. It's so calm and relaxing out here."
Kate smirked, "and you really like seeing Cassie again."
Peter shrugged, "that doesn't hurt. It's not like she even knows I exist though."
"They don't call me Kate Wingwoman Bishop for nothing. Just say the word and you'll be set up on a date with her by dinner."
Peter nodded his head, taking a long drink from his soda, "nobody has ever called you that have they?"
"There's a first for everything. Plus, look at the babe I bagged. Surely I can help you with your crush," she winked when Yelena looked over at them. The blonde rolled her eyes at Kate's gesture.
"Should I wink at her from here? Seemed to work wonders for you just now," Peter stifled his laugh.
"I love you Peter but I will kick you out of my house."
"You don't mean that. Kate Wingwoman Bishop doesn't have a mean bone in her body," Peter bumped his shoulder up against hers.
"Fine I like you too much to kick you out. Plus there's still a chance Yelena and I can traumatize you with really loud sex later," she smirked. "Bet you wish you were staying with her parents now instead of the Langs."
"I don't know which is worse. You and Yelena having sex while I'm here or the thought of Alexei doing it with anyone while I'm in a 100 mile radius."
"Is that really a question?" Kate pretended to be offended. "Alexei told me once that sex is sex and nobody should be embarrassed about having it."
"Right but when you put the words Alexei and sex together in a sentence my mind goes to a very dark place that I want to get out of as fast as I can," Peter shuddered at the thought. "So are we just birthing baby pigs or what's going on?"
Kate shrugged, "I mean I mainly asked you to come to help with the pigs but honestly I need company while Yelena is gone. I haven't been completely alone since I was subjugated and I still have nightmares. I just don't really want to be left alone without sounding completely pathetic and like a child."
"Oh no I totally get it. I'm here for that. Maybe we can build a blanket fort downstairs after they leave."
"I'd like that. Hey..." she turned to her friend, "what do you know about the multiverse?"
Whatever Peter was about to say was cut off when Alexei stomped over to them, "she thinks I'm not fit for battle. Suggests a diet other than crisps and vodka."
"Papa," Yelena followed him, "you couldn't do the mile run. It was only a suggestion. I could help with meal prep."
"I am fit, red guardian. I do not do meal prep. And besides why would I have to run mile to get away from enemy. I punch, they fall down."
