*September- 3 and a half months until the wedding*

"I am so tired of staring at these walls," Yelena and Kate had been sitting inside of the compound's hospital room waiting while Sonya had been in surgery to correct her nerve damage. "This is so boring," she had been throwing a tennis ball off the wall and catching it for who knows how long at this point. "I thought they said four hours. It has been so much longer already. I am so bored and hungry. I'm bored and hungry."

Kate looked at her phone, "it's only been two hours, Yelena."

Yelena missed the ball on its return when she stopped to look at Kate, "that can not be right." She pulled out her own phone and among the many missed messages from her family she noted the time. "Fuck," she sighed, "you are right. This is taking forever."

"Here," she reached down for her backpack and scooted it over to her fiancée. "I brought snacks. Or we can go to the gym if you want. You can go back to our room and take a nap. We don't have to sit in this room."

Yelena grabbed the bag and rifled through every thing Kate had packed, "nice selection," she said appraisingly as she pulled out some takis and her favorite Mt. Dew. "You spoil me, Kate Bishop but I do not think I should leave. I told Sonya I'd be here when she came back."

"Dig deeper down."

Yelena raised her eyebrow before digging back into the backpack and pulling out the Nintendo switch. She turned it on to see what game Kate had in there and her eyes lit up when she saw Animal Crossing was in the slot, "you are a rockstar, Kate Bishop."

"Here," Kate rooted through the bag and pulled out the docking system and cable, "we can put it on through the tv and you can play on the big screen. I know how the little screen hurts your eyes after a while."

Yelena couldn't help the smile at Kate's thoughtfulness, "you think of everything."

"I'll set it up," she grabbed the switch and went to work hooking it up to the television. It took less than two minutes to get it all up and running and she returned to her chair with the pro controller for Yelena. "Good to go."

Yelena pulled Kate down for a kiss before settling down into her chair, "you take good care of me, little hawk. Now tell me," her face turned serious. "How do I kill these villagers? Most of them are so annoying. Like look at this Ostrich bitch. She doesn't even contribute anything besides sucking up all the oxygen the rest of us need. She didn't donate any money to the bridges or the inclines. I go into the store every day and those two little boys never have gun for me to buy. It would be so easy to buy a gun and shoot her so we can all move on."

Kate really didn't know how to respond to that. She didn't know someone could be that passionate about hating an animal crossing character, "I don't think Tommy and Timmy are licensed to sell firearms, babe."

"Damn it. Fine. Plan B," Yelena equipped her bug catching net and started following the ostrich around and smacking her in the head. "Get the fuck off my island, bitch." She laughed before looking at Kate, "oh how do I teach my villagers to bully her like this? We can all beat her with nets. Community bonding."

"Hmm," Kate was still processing the jovial tone Yelena was using trying to decipher if she was joking or not. Whether or not, "you are adorable."

Yelena scoffed, "I have been called many things, little hawk, but adorable isn't among them."

"Tough," Kate shrugged, "because you are extremely adorable."

"Pretty soon you'll be able to call me adorable for the rest of my life," Yelena kept playing her game.
