At the end of the day, I know there are worse ways to stay alive.
Noah Kahan

Aria blew air from her mouth as she back on one of the camping chairs, her leg bouncing up and down.

"So, we went to the archives in Charleston, and, uh...it was a dead end." John B nodded, his eyes planted on his father before faltering.

JJ shot him a suspicious glare, giving him a once over.

"So, that's the gold, the cross, and now El Dorado." Pope named, holding a piece of branch in his fingers as it fiddled with it. "We're three for three guys."

His whipped around, throwing the branch harshly with anger. He laughed in disbelief, "The streak continues."

Kiara had her lips in a flat line, feeling for the Heyward boy as she followed him. "See you John B."

Aria glanced at Sarah, nodding towards her. "I should probably get home. I'm sorry, JB."

"Yeah." JJ nodded, standing up. "I'm going fishing. Thanks for the beer."

John B sulked, watching his friends bid goodbye as his girlfriend stayed put beside him. Aria clicked her tongue, holding her bike upright.

"You seriously going home?" JJ asked with a cocked brow.

"Yeah." Aria forced a smile. "Not that I want to but I can't keep abandoning them. I'll see you around."

JJ watched her swing her leg over the seat, getting on. "Do you think he's full of shit?"

Aria paused, turning to look at him over her shoulder. "Yes. His dad is keeping something from us. It's only time before he takes John B down with him."

She began to peddle after JJ stayed silent, feeling the harsh roads of Figure Eight beneath her. The wind was in her hair, her brows knitting as her phone buzzed.

Her feet halted, falling down to the road as she stopped.

"Did you have an adventure yesterday;)"

The teasing text from Rafe made her knuckles turn white as she gripped her phone, she slid into her back pocket, peddling home faster than she'd ever have.

Aria threw her bike on the gravel of her home before hurrying over to the Cameron residence, she took the key from under the mat, letting herself in as she searched for the eldest.

She crossed her arms as she saw his backside, the phone being held up to his ear.

"Oh, my God. Wait, who stole it?" The snakiness in his voice made her stomach whirl as she leaned on the doorway. "That's rough. I mean, it could've been anybody, really, right?"

She could hear the panic in Wards voice from the other line. Rafe shrugged. "Well, I mean, you know, we were just giving it away anyway, so who cares?"

He turned, his light eyes snapping up to meet her gaze as he leaned against the barrier of the balcony, the smirk on his lips visible.

"Yeah, no, I...actually wanted to talk to you about that. I'm thinking maybe we should keep the offices." Rafe began to walk towards her, his hand coming to the door in an attempt to shut it.
