I see my reflection in your eyes
The Neighbourhood

"Trust it?" Sarah asked, the two walking up the steps to the condo.

"Nope." Aria shook her head. "You really think Wheezie could get herself all the way here? Think about it."

Sarah approached the sliding door, opening it hesitantly as she stepped in, Aria slowly closing it as they glanced around.

"Hello?" Sarah called out, walking deeper into the home. "Wheezie? Wheeze?"

She froze, her eyes landing on the two men sitting on the couch. She breathed deeply with anger. "I knew it. I fricking knew it."

"Amazing." Aria muttered, her eyes drifting over her father's face, then towards Wards.

"I needed to see you, Sarah." Ward exhaled. "I just needed to see you and tell you I'm sorry because..." He began to stand.

Sarah lifted her finger, Aria coming closer to her friend, narrowing her eyes at the older Cameron. "You stay right there. Do you know how stupid this is. If anyone sees you, you go to jail." Sarah seethed, her eyes flickering to Victor. "If anyone sees you, you go to jail. If I yell and the cops come, you both go to jail."

"I don't think you're gonna do that." Ward snapped his eyes up to her, watching her pace slightly.

"Try me." Sarah challenged. "I already did." She stood by the window, glancing out of it.

Ward turned his head to face her, following her gaze. "What?" He stood, hearing the chatter of officers walking past.

"Don't worry." Aria pouted with a smirk. "I called them to the unit next door."

"I could yell." Sarah added, leaning on the back door. "I might. So whatever it is you're here for, I suggest you hurry up and you don't piss me off."

Ward quirked his lips up slightly. "So angry. So much hatred."

"Because I'm homeless!" Sarah cut him off, tears building in her brown eyes. I have no money! Aria is the only family I have and she isn't even biological! I've had no where to go because of you!"

"I know." Ward said with guilt.

Sarah shook her head, choking on her tears. "And you used my baby sister as bait to get me here."

"I know. Sarah, I know everything that happened, everything I did. All of it. It's my fault, I know." Ward owned up, tears in his own eyes. "And I don't know how I'll make up for it but I'll try."

"Good luck." Sarah muttered.

Ward kept his eyes glued to his daughter. "I know you don't believe me but I'm gonna try to live a different life."

"You wanna make amends?" Sarah asked, watching her father nod. "You give the gold back to the Pogues."

Ward forced a smile. "We can talk about that. We can."

"They certainly deserve some of it." Victor hummed, holding a hand on Wards shoulder.

"Let's talk about it." Aria crossed her arms over her chest, glaring at her father.

Ward breathed out. "Right now, I'm here for you, Sarah." He stood, going through his things. "This is for the condo. This has some money for you. Got all the money you'll need on it."

He placed the keys and card onto the small table between them, Sarah's chest heaving as she followed his every move.

Ward began to put his jacket on, reaching for his cane. "I know you're not going to forgive me. Either of you. How could you? I just want you to know that I love you. And that I'm sorry."

Aria rolled her lips into her mouth, squeezing Sarah's hand as the girl was brimming with emotion.

"Look, Aria, I'm gonna help Ward out. If you need.." Victor began, looking at her with compassion.

"I don't need anything." Aria sucked her teeth. "Go do business, Dad. I've never stopped you before."

Victor laughed, nodding. "You know, Aria. We're not that much different. When will you realize that?"

"I am nothing like you." Aria spat with disgust.

"You can say that all you want." Victor hummed with knitted brows. "But we're both the same. I see my reflection in your eyes."
