Jay sat in one of the overstuffed chairs in the divinations classroom, waiting for his classmates to arrive. Where is everybody? Then he felt something move beneath his feet. The hell? He stood up and looked around. Then he stumbled, seemingly over nothing. There it is again! The tower began to tremble. Oh hell nah. He quickly moved over to the ladder leading down and out of the tower. A crystal ball rolled off a table and smashes to pieces on the floor. Jay took it as a sign to get out of there before the tower fell as well. He slid down the ladder and landed on the soft velvet carpet. We're not on any fault lines, so why would there be an earthquake? His thoughts were interrupted by a tremor, much larger than before. Then it hit him, not literally, although he did get bonked by a falling painting as he slid down the ladder. Cole! Something must be wrong. He had to reach him, and fast. He ran down the hall, dodging debris as it fell from above him. He whipped around a corner and skidded to a halt. He had reached the grand staircase. The floor on which he stood began to shake even more violently. I have to get to Cole before he does something he regrets. He took a deep breath and jumped. He tumbled down onto another flight of stairs, and he smiled. He ran down the steps and leapt again.

"Parkour!" He slid down a railing and onto another moving staircase. He backflipped, front-flipped, and twisted through the air. He did some dramatic poses too, just for funzies. As he  prepared to swan dive off a step he heard a crash. He turned to look, and saw Nya, lying on the ground beside a pile of rubble. Momentarily wracked with fear, he slipped and fell. His head collided with something, and all went black.

Jay's eyes shot open. He sat up gasping for breath. He looked around.

"Hello Jay," said a soft voice. He shrieked. Lightning shot out from him at every angle. "Jesus fucking Christ!" A girl stumbled backwards away from him. "What was that?" Then he remembered her.

"Luna? You're Luna, right?" he asked.

"Yeah," she said, getting up. "What did you just do?"

"I shot lightning at youooOOOH NO! I just shot lightning at you! I mean- no I didn't. FUCK." He ran his hands through his hair, only for Luna to place her hands on his and lower them to his chest.

"You're Jay."

"Yep. Yeah. Ow my head. Son of a bitch." The world began to ripple and move, spinning around him like a carousel. He felt a sharp slap across his face and he was forcefully thrown back into reality.

"JAY! JAY STAY WITH ME YOU AUTISTIC ASSWAGON!"

"Yep. Yep. I'm definitely awake now."

"Good." She sat down. "I'm gonna wait for the rest of your memory to come back." She leaned back into the couch and stared at him.

"Wait. What? Wait for my- OH HOLY SHIT! COLE!"

"There it is." He shot up out of his chair.

"I gotta make sure he's okay! How long was I out?" Luna stood up and shrugged.

"Maybe 30 minutes?"

"30 minutes! Oh he could be dead!"

"I do believe that's rather unlikely-"

"Do you have any idea how many times that man has died?" Luna paused, a little taken aback.

"I assume never?"

"Nope! Once. But the amount of times he's almost died, well, I lost track of that years ago." He started towards the door but paused before he reached it. "Also, Luna?"

"Yes Jay?"

"Please don't tell anyone about the thing with the lightning." Luna nodded and smiled. Jay grabbed the door handle and ran down the stairs. He was careful this time as he jumped from staircase to staircase. His head pounded as he ran through the halls. He got a lot of weird looks, which caught him off guard, but he kept running. Suddenly someone put a hand on his shoulder, stopping him. He turned around and saw a face he didn't recognize.

"You're just like your friends aren't you?" said the boy who stopped him.

"What?"

"You're a demon, a freak, or something else. Aren't you?" Jay tried to walk away, but the boy grabbed his arm.

"Let go of me!" He tried and tried to get away, but the guy wouldn't let go.

"You're a freak! Just like your freaky little friends!" The room started to spin.

"No... I swear I'm- I'm normal..." he muttered. Jay didn't know if he was imagining it, but for a second he thought he saw concern flicker across the Slytherin boy's face.

"Your little girlfriend speaks mermish and commands the sea, her brother is a fiery devil from hell, the tall one is a silvery ice demon, the Hufflepuff is a glowing monster who can cause an earthquake with his mind, and the little blond one is an actual vampiric demon creature. There's no way in hell that you're normal!" The room spun around him like a carousel again. He wobbled and almost fell. He was partially blinded as a drop of blood dripped down into his eye. He stumbled back and fell to the ground. All he could hear was a loud ringing sound. When he opened his eyes, he was in the hospital wing, with his friends standing over him. Nya launched herself onto him as soon as he was conscious.

"Jay you're okay!"

"Just barely..." He ran his fingers along the side of her face and was surprised to feel that it was covered in scratches. "What happened to you?" he asked softly.

"I fell."

"Seems like a bit more than that." He looked past her and saw Cole and Pixal standing over him as well. "Where are the others?"

"Kai and Lloyd are unconscious here in the hospital wing," replied Pixal.

"And Zane?" His friends paused and looked around uncomfortably. "Guys? Where's Zane?"

"He's dead Jay."

Sorry my posting has been so irregular lately. Double sorry that it took so long for me to post this chapter. I had to do a lot of research on head trauma. Also a shoutout to @misticwolf485894 for giving me the idea to do a Jay POV.
