Zane walked out of his last class of the day and started to walk towards the library. The halls were packed, students running in every direction. He had only been walking for a few minutes when he heard a cry of pain. He turned his head to see where the noise came from. Then he heard it again. He walked briskly over to where the commotion seemed to be coming from. He saw the blonde Slytherin girl he had spoken to before up against a wall. In front of her was a muscular, redheaded Gyffindor girl.

"You're all disgusting, evil snakes!" the ginger girl was saying. "All of you Slytherins!" The blonde stood there in terror. The ginger then proceeded to slap her across the face, hard. Something inside him snapped.

"HEY BITCH!" Zane yelled. "Yeah, you. Gryffindor girl!" She turned around in shock, her long wavy hair bouncing on her shoulders.

"Excuse me?" she said, sounding confused. "Wait, aren't you Lloyd's friend?"

"Yes," he said, marching up to her. "But I'm also hers." He stood in front of her, head high. The blonde smiled greatfully at him. "And YOU," he said in a low voice. "Are being a dick." The people that heard what he said gasped at his boldness. Her jaw dropped. She scowled and tried to punch him. He quickly stepped aside. A crowd had formed around them and was now watching with great interest. She tried again, harder this time. He once again stepped to the side. This continued for another minute before he got bored. The next time she tried to punch him, he ducked, grabbed her arm and used her momentum to fling her over his shoulder and onto the floor. The crowd of people gasped in shock, and a few people cheered. Zane smiled and continued on his way. When he arrived in the library he saw Hermione standing there waiting for him. He smiled at her and she smiled back at him. She led him to a cozy looking corner with two bean bag chairs. They sat in silence for a moment, admiring the peacefulness of it all.

"So?" said Hermione.

"Sorry," said Zane. "When I'm at home I live with eight other people and we have a constant stream of visitors. I'm not exactly used to peace and quiet."

"Oh," said Hermione curiously. "Who do you live with?"

"My friends, my sensei, my sensei's brother, and my girlfriend," at the thought of Pixal, his face fell.

"She didn't come here with you, did she?" said Hermione. "I'm so sorry."

"Thank you for your concern," he said. "You wanted to hear about how life is where I'm from?" She nodded excitedly, her quill at the ready. Zane smiled and began.

"I come from a far away land called Ninjago, one of many realms. Ninjago was said to have been created by a man known as the First Spinjitsu Master, born of a dragon and a demon called an Oni. Dragons had the power of creation, and the Oni had the power of destruction. So the boy, born of both worlds, had incredible power. When he grew up, he left the realm of his birth and created Ninjago. Then he created us, the people, and two boys; his sons. One boy had the power of creation, while the other had the power of destruction. He distributed the rest of his power among the people. These certain individuals each received an elemental power. These include fire, ice, amber, form, metal and many others. Over the years the powers were passed on to another person, who would be chosen by the previous elemental master. One of the boys, the one endowed with the power of destruction, fell in love and had a son, who became the elemental master of energy."

"Wow," said Hermione. "And do you believe in the first spinjitsu master and his story?"

"I do." said Zane. "I was even fortunate enough to meet both his sons and his grandson." Hermione's jaw dropped. "A few of the current elemental masters, ice, fire, earth, water, lightning and energy, became ninja and now protect us from any threats."

"Wow," said Hermione. "That really is incredible." Zane nodded.

"Now," he said, standing up. "I promised my friends that I would meet up with them. It was very nice talking to you, Hermione. I hope to see you again soon."

"I enjoyed it, too, Zane," she said. "See you soon!" And so Zane went to meet up with his friends.
