Wizards of the Elements (ON HOLD)

The crack

Nya sat on the couch and watched Kai and Draco play chess. Draco had his tongue poking out of his mouth in concentration. Kai looked carefully at the board and moved his queen. Draco smiled and slid his bishop across the board. 

"Checkmate," he said happily. 

"Fuck!" screamed Kai. Suddenly the chessboard burst into flame. Draco started screaming his ass off as Kai quickly put out the flames. "Sorry! Sorry! Oh my First Spinjitsu Master! I'm so fucking sorry!" Nya looked at him curiously. Before they came here, if Kai set something on fire he wouldn't apologise, he would act like it was purposeful. But something here had changed him. He was nicer, less angry, more caring in general. She noticed that he was staring at something behind Draco. She followed his gaze and saw a girl with long, platinum blonde hair and light green eyes. If she remembered correctly, that was Astoria Greengrass. She and Blaise were shooting spells at a stack of books. Nya smiled. Skylor is gonna flip when she hears about this, she thought to herself. Suddenly there was a loud bang and a cracking sound. Nya looked up and saw a huge crack in the glass ceiling. She turns to Blaise who is staring at the ceiling in shock. Kai began to scream. "Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck!" he screamed. But before anyone could do anything, the ceiling shattered. Water flooded the room. Nya opened her eyes and saw people panicking around her. She knew what she had to do. She closed her eyes and held out her hands. She felt the water around her feeling the elemental energy coursing through veins. It felt wonderful. She had forgotten how much she missed this. But right then, she had to concentrate. She raised her hands above her head and felt the water lift off of the floor. She heard people around her gasping for breath as she removed the water from the room. She opened her eyes and saw that the water was now just above where the glass was. 

"Kai!" she cried. "Quick! Grab the glass shards and weld them together!" Kai nodded and grabbed the shards from the floor. He leapt up to the archway and began to melt down the glass. "急いで！これは重いですよ！" she yelled.

"私があなたに何をしようとしていると思いますか？" he yelled back. After he finished welding this glass back together, Nya let her arms drop. She sat down on the floor, panting. When she looked up, the entirety of Slytherin house was staring at her. "What?" she asked. Then she realised. "Oh, you want to know what I just did?" She looked at Kai who shrugged.

"まあ、彼らにすべてを話したほうがいいかもしれません." he said resignedly. She shrugged and went to sit down on the couch. Kai sat down next to her and looked at her. "Your makeup is smudged," he said suddenly. 

"Well no shit," she muttered. Her white t-shirt was soaking wet, and was therefore see through. She sighed. I might as well take it off, she realised. She pulled off the soaking wet top and tossed it on the arm of the chair, revealing her chiseled six-pack. This caught the attention of half the common room. She rolled her eyes. "So," she said as she took a mint from a side table. "Do y'all want storytime or not?" Several people nodded and began sitting down in various spots and stared at the siblings intently. Kai looked at her with hints of concern in his eyes. 

"本当に伝えてもよろしいですか?彼らはたくさんの質問をするでしょう." asked Kai. She nodded. Her brother sighed. 

"Okay," she began. "If we tell y'all this, you gotta promise not to tell anyone else, ever." The Slytherins nodded eagerly. "Alright, so you know how we're not from around here, right? Well here's the thing, we don't think we're even from this realm."

"We came through a portal," Kai continued. "And we ended up here. We come from a land called Ninjago. Long before time had a name, the land of Ninjago was created by the First Spinjitsu Master using the golden weapons." Nya made a snorting sound. "What?"

"You sound like Master Wu," she said with a laugh.

"I do not!" he said, quite offended. "He sounds more like this." He cleared his throat and began speaking in a raspy voice. "There's something I haven't told you yet." At this Nya burst out laughing. The other students looked very confused. 

"Who's Master Wu?" one student asked.

"Sorry," Nya. "It's an inside joke. The First Spinjitsu Master was half demon and half dragon. Because of this he had the power of both creation and destruction. Using his powers he created the people who inhabit our realm. Then he created his two sons, Wu and Garmadon. Then he passed on the elemental powers to certain people. Those powers were passed on through generations, and that's how Kai became the master of fire." Kai smiled and proceeded to juggle fireballs, much to the admiration of their fellow Slytherins. 

"Now Nya," he said. "Her powers have a different story. See when he first arrived in this realm, there was only ocean, and the entirety of it was ruled by a sea beast called Wojira. Wojira controlled the water and the wind, and ruled over the Merlopians, who lived in the deep. Now one of the Merlopians, Nyad, was the first water master. She defeated Wojira, and brought peace to the realm. Nyad's powers, and the powers of wind, were passed on, and Nya and I are the decendants. But Nya ended up with those powers since I got FIYAHHHH!" Nya burst out laughing. 

"I swear, you are so fucking ridiculous," she said between giggles. "Does anyone have any questions?" Many hands shot up into the air and Kai sighed. "Alright. Draco?" 

"How did Nyad defeat Wojira?" he asked. They tensed up. 

"She..." said Kai quietly. "She merged with the sea. She saved the world but she lost her humanity." There was silence for a moment before a clock chimed. "Well it looks like it's time for lunch," he said. He got up and left the common room.

"Well," said Nya. "There's your story." With that she got up and left.
