𝗜 𝗞𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 door open and went inside the moment we got to the witch's house. It stank more than before. How typical. "Oi Wiccan!?" Cain followed me to the living room where she was standing. She was expecting us.

"What the hell do you want?"

"I heard your boyfriend was here yesterday. You better start talking or lose your life."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Really?" I lunged at her but I was stopped. I clenched my jaw and looked down. She's standing in a circle of salt. God I hate Wiccans.

"Hm. So you do know what I'm talking about. Since you got so defensive you might as well talk and we'll be on our merry way." I explain. "What does Yuno know about Lolita?"

"I don't know." She gritted.

"I know he was here when we were here. I don't care what his deal is with you but I want to know if you know anything pertaining to him and Lolita."

"I don't."

"You're lying. What do you know!?" She flinched but stood her ground. I growled and lunged for her again. When I did she sprayed me with something. I covered my eyes and stepped back. I coughed, fanning away the terrible smell. The fuck was that?

"Perhaps we should try a more subtle approach." Cain says. "Look, Pam, we just want to know if Yuno knows Lolita, or has known her before. Those marks she came here with...Yuno did those, amongst something else. He may be with you but he could be using you for your spells."

"No he's not." She defends. I gazed at her.

"He could be. That night of the full moon his pheromone's were through the roof. We think he's in love with Lolita. And whatever she is, he probably knows." Cain explains further.

Pam gazed at me before looking back at Cain. "All we want is information. You could warn him or whatever the case may be. We're still at war either way."

And finally she broke. "Fine. He knows her. He's known her for a long time due to how he spoke of her. He knows what she is but he didn't tell me anything about it. He said he needs her to fall in love with him so he could breed her. Whatever she is is diamond covered in gold and obsidian. His words, not mine."

"What else?" I ask.

"Come on Pam, just tell us."

"She's not just a hybrid. She's a tribid. That's all I know. Now leave."

"You're still hiding something. What else?"

She looked at me but didn't answer. "What. Else?" A heartbeat. I looked away from her and at the wall. Frantic heartbeats, heavy breathing. She's terrified.

"Logan?" Cain calls.

"ANSWER ME!"

Yuno? Lolita! I shifted faster than noise could travel and broke through the wall of her house. "Logan!" Cain called out. I ignored him and ran back. I ran across the empty roads and past houses.

I tilt my head up to the sky and howled. It was a message to the others. I did so again, still carrying on. I swear if he hurts her I'll murder him, resurrect him and murder him again. No one touches her. No one. No one but me.

I howled again but got nothing in return. All I got was a heavy growl a few meters behind me. I knew it was Cain. Don't tell me they let Yuno of all people nick them down. I'll be mad.

Headlights flashed and I jumped onto the hood of the car that passed. The horn honked but I didn't care.

We made it to the woods and I skipped past trees and jumped over branches as I continued. I listened out for her heartbeat again and this time it was calm. She wasn't scared anymore.

I felt more at ease but I didn't let that stop my pace. Yuno was on territory. We eventually got to the house and I stopped. Tana was standing on the porch.

I didn't catch Yuno's scent at all. Stupid Wiccan. I should've killed her. I turned back, walking my way towards Tana. She handed me clothes and I took them from her, putting them on as I got inside.

I followed her scent upstairs, listening to Cain and Tana.

"What the hell happened?" He asked.

"Yuno was here but he didn't come in. I was in the kitchen when I heard him."

"And Lolita?"

"She's hiding in the house somewhere. She was terrified. I smelled it on her before it disappeared."

"This is getting interesting."

I stopped at a door, realizing that it's my office door. I exhaled and zipped up my pants, buttoning it. I combed my hair back with my fingers and opened the door. I eased in and carefully made my way over to my desk. The chair is pulled out and her scent was stronger than ever.

I got around and pulled the rolling chair further out of the way. I knelt down and there she was. Her knees are up to her chest with her head down and her hands covering her ears. Is she asleep? Her heartbeat is telling me that she is.

I hesitated on touching her, not wanting to scare her. I got on my knees, slowly reaching out a hand, touching the top of her head.

"Lolita?" It was a whisper. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm an alpha. "Lolita?" I still call softly. She raised her head, looking at me. Her grey eyes looks brighter than before. The scar is still there and I gazed at her cheek, noticing three red marks, all still healing.

I took a seat next to her under the desk, having to bend my head. Once she's fine. Lolita's head touched my shoulder and I set my head on top of hers.

"How do you know my brother?" I ask quietly. She didn't answer me. "What are you?"

"I don't know." She finally answers.

"And my brother?"

"He's no longer my alpha."
