𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 Lolita was oddly irritating. To be in the same room as each other but have her avoid me. I know it was because of what happened a week ago after she fed from me.

During the week though Cain was giving me a summary on the new recruits for my pack. When we get back to base I'll have a look to see how they do. To see if they're truly worthy to be apart of my chain.

I don't like the idea of Julian being apart of my pack but I did owe him. Lolita and I made it to the room and I eased the door closed. She went over to the bed but didn't sit.

She crossed her arms and I stayed by the door. Silver eyes, silver hair, skin like pallid snow. Her scars. If she didn't kill Yuno I sure as hell will.

Hearing Lolita say herself that she's not apart of anyone's pack brought me back to reality. I had been treating her like she was already apart of my organization. But I knew she would've said those words.

Yuno had her locked down for years, forcing her to do a lot of things she didn't want to do. Thinking about it made me angry.

"You're bleeding." She whispers, looking away. I un-balled my fists, my claws reverting back to nails. I watched the few holes heal and I wiped my palms onto my pants.

She's hungry.

"Julian is going to be apart of my pack considering that I owed him a favor."

She looked at me. "So?"

"It's not like I wanted him to be apart of it. You know, considering what he did."

She scoffs, taking a seat on the bed. "Who cares."

"I do."

Again our eyes met. I meant it too. I do care about her. She's...she's...she's my mate. Lolita frowned.

"Why do you care so much?" She asks softly. I shrug.

"I don't know, Lolita. It's a contradiction of what I feel on a usual basis. Caring for someone has never really been my forte. But it is now."

"Way to be bold."

I took a seat next to her and rolled the sleeve of my black sweatshirt. Her bite healed three days later.

"No reason to lie about anything. Being bold saves time."

"I guess."

Lolita stared at my wrist for a long time. "Aren't you hungry?"

"I mean yeah but..." she looked at me, a bit of worry in her eyes. "What if I get carried away and kill you?"

"Then you'll be full. Unless you want me to bring you someone else and you kill them instead."

"I'm not a killer, Logan."

I set my hand down. "You will become one. You've been suppressing yourself for so long that you may not be able to control your desires and your needs, your wants. It doesn't matter if you're not a killer now because eventually you will have to kill someone to get some sort of satisfaction." Lolita looked away.

"But I believe in you. You're strong remember? You're a hybrid."

"I can't believe all of this is coming from the guy that kicked me for eating without permission."

"Well I'm giving you permission to eat now. If I feel like I'm dying I'll just snap your neck."

And then something new happened. She laughed. She actually laughed. Her smile was full, and it met her eyes.
