𝐈 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐍 apple from the bowl in the middle of the table and took a bite. I've had about a thousand, maybe more, of these the past week that I've been here. I know it's Julian's blood due to the smell and what he told me. When I first had a bite my tongue tingled and I wanted more.

I do want more actually, but I don't want to ask him. I'm still in the dark about what I am. But, I get to know today. Julian said whenever Logan wakes up he'll explain.

"Good morning?" Julian asks. He's always sitting at the table. It's like he sleeps here.

"Logan's awake, explain." I didn't had time to waste. I needed answers as soon as possible. My blunt demand made him laugh.

"So demanding. Why don't we wait until everyone is here?"

I took another bite of apple and bounced my leg. He speaks to me like he's some sort of dad. "You said until Logan was awake. He's awake now." I gritted. Julian exhaled a breath and sat back in his chair, smoking that pipe of his.

"Give her what she wants. If you told her that then answer her."

When I heard Logan's voice my heart skipped a beat and I felt the hairs on my neck stand. Ten minutes ago I was laying beside him. I mean every night I laid beside him but only because I would end up falling asleep due to his heartbeat.

I'm so damn stupid. He probably didn't want me that close to him. I took another stressful bite and shook the event from my mind. He's an alpha, I'm a lone wolf. It's like Tana said.

Wait. I stopped the bounce of my leg and snorted. Since when do I care about what that desperate hag has to say about me? Maybe if Cain had said it I would have felt some sort of way. But Tana? Not a damn chance.

Logan took a seat next to me and I glanced at him. He's been showering. I don't know how they're able to find half of the things in this hidden house slash library.

His tired eyes reached mine and I looked away. Ugh! So annoying.

"Oh. A very good morning." Julian teases. He grinned and shifted in his seat. "Alright fine, I'll talk, but...promise not to kill me after I explain." I looked at Julian and he stood to his feet.

"We're back!" Cain sings. I smelled food. Actual real food. I turned to look at him and Tana is following behind him with a few bags in hand. Cain dropped his smile.

"Oh, are we interrupting something?"

"You're just in time Cain bear. I was just about to fill Lolita in on what's been going on."

"Well alright. I guess it's time."

Everyone got settled at the table. Logan was still silent and it made me nervous all of a sudden. Suddenly I didn't want to be sitting next to him. It made me feel weird. My palms sweat, my heart beat.

Shit. My heart. Think of something else Lolita. Don't give his ears anything to go on. You don't...you don't like him.

Like him. Suddenly my heart came to a still upon my realization. I like him? I looked up at Logan and again he looked at me. I like him.

For two months he's been here for me. When I was sick, when I was feeling angry and confused. Even down to when he didn't feel well he still wanted to protect me. And I knew he would've. Even up to this morning. The thing he said about no other wolf being able to touch me again.

"Oh my goodness."

"I'm going outside." I hear Tana grit.

Logan leaned in and I thought he was going to kiss me. Panicked I slapped him. His head whipped to the right and I got out of my seat. Logan touched the side of his mouth and I noticed blood form on the corner of his lips.
