𝐂𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐄 at the dinner table that I was still seated at. My mind was fixated on Lolita still. I want to know who this Yuno guy is. He harmed my flower. My beautiful lotus flower. Cain cleared his throat as he pulled his chair closer to the table.

"Where's your sister?" I question.

"She went to get food."

I nod slightly. "Do you mind telling me who Yuno is?"

He shifts, his tongue grazing his bottom lip. He really is a handsome young man. I won't forget he owes me a favor.

"Well, aside from him being Logan's brother, he was the one that had Lolita held captive. According to the lacerations on her body and deep claw marks you can tell she's been through hell." He explains. "I'm not sure if he's alive right now though."

"Why is that?"

"The blood around her mouth was his. I could smell it strong on her. Maybe she killed him to escape and come here."

"Hm."

"B-but I find that impossible since he's an alpha. I mean Lolita may be a banshee hybrid but she can't be that strong to kill him. Right?"

"Well, not all alphas are strong. But Lolita is past strong. She's got speed, agility, strength. And all stems from both sides of her being a vampire as well as a werewolf. She's already breaking past her spell so it wouldn't surprise me if she did kill him. It's what she did to the great alpha himself back then. And all due to a scream."

Cain pressed his lips together and crossed his arms over the table. "What are you going to do?"

"I'm still going with my initial plan, Cain bear. Lolita is too strong. She won't be able to control herself, especially since it's been kept on lock down for all of her life. I can't risk it."

"Then you should blame yourself for letting her get hurt by Yuno. Have you any idea what he did to her? You can't smell what we smell and upon getting here all I could smell was him. I still do."

"Wouldn't I smell like you if I'm around you for too long?"

"It was pheromones. He hurt her because she doesn't know what she's capable of in order to defend herself. And if you didn't want her using her abilities then maybe you should have stuck around to defend her and protect her."

I stared at him. Cain crossed his arms and it made me ponder on why he's so hellbent on Lolita being all of what she is.

"Why do you want me to drop this seal so badly?"

"I already told you. Logan is in love with her. And she needs to be herself. You've already abandoned her and kept her two sides hidden from herself. So let her be free. Logan won't allow her to go off the rails. As much as she's his anchor, he's hers too. And if you don't Logan will kill you so I'm saving you in advance."

His explanation tickled me. He truly has a way with words. "Fine, you got me to break. But when the blood moon arises and she cannot control herself, I will block her powers completely and she'll be a normal human running around." Thinking about it now that's probably what I should have went with.
