𝗜 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗔 wrapped in a blanket in her room. After Julian passed out I had no idea what to do. I tried reaching for Logan but I got nothing. As for Dasher, who cares where he went.

Now I'm stuck in a house with a situation and Logan is on his way and his mate is in some sort of sleep coma. I groaned and tapped my forehead. I stared at the pool. Ice still floated, a bit of fog surrounding the edge of the pool. If I was Julian, what would I do?

If only he was awake then I wouldn't have a thinking problem. I usually have answers to things but this is too much. Julian being in a sleep coma, Lolita in a sleep coma, Logan somewhere wandering around and Dasher the dickhead vampire.

I got low, still staring at the pool of ice water. It's amazing what Julian can do. I've seen it, I've felt it. Maybe Dasher underestimates Julian. It makes me angry though. Angry at the fact that I'm not as fast as Dasher to shield Julian from him.

We haven't had sex but...I really like Julian. I marked him, he's mine now. However...why don't I feel some sort of want? Or a need? Usually when two mates are apart from each other, bad things happen.

Like if one of them dies, then the both of them will. But my mom told me that was a myth because she loved my father very much. And he's dead. She's still alive though. So maybe it is a myth, or maybe she didn't love him really.

They always argued a lot anyway.

"Oh how quiet it's gotten." I rolled my eyes and stood to my feet, turning around to see Dasher. When I first saw him he looked old and disgusting looking. But now he looks younger and healthier.

I don't smell blood on him of any kind though, which is strange. If he's leaving for hours on end exactly what is he doing? Dasher smiles and I noticed how different his clothes are now. He went from 1800 overalls to a sweatpants and T-shirt nowadays.

"I don't really like the quiet." He says venturing in front of me. "The whispers from you and my little bear has stopped." He taunts. Bear. That term had me in a stuttering mess when Julian first used it.

I never knew why, I never cared to ask right away why he called me bear. But hearing Dasher's teasing tone and mocking voice with the word made me want to punch him.

But I am curious. "Bear? Why do you call him bear?" He grins, brushing his hair back as he tilt his head upwards. For someone as dangerous as him he's awfully skinny.

I'm sure I could break this clown in half.

"Give me a taste and I'll tell you." He says looking back in my eyes.

"What? N-" before I could finish that objection I felt a sharp pain in my neck. Arms gripped my shirt and my hearing tingled due to the uncomfortable feeling. Dasher pulled back and I held where he had bitten me.

"Since you were so nice about it. I call him that because there was a time when he found a bear cub at a riverbank back in our much younger days." Dasher smiled, genuinely smiled, at the retelling of this story. "He was just testing out his healing and the bear was a perfect subject to go on.

"So, Julie is testing different healing spells on this sick cub, but with every one, none worked. The bear was dying and there was nothing he could do about it. And a week later, the poor thing died.
