Chapter 8

As they could feel each others breath, they slowly leaned in without noticing as they were only a centimeter apart they leaned in, and suddenly, Sabine appeared.

Sabine: Everything ok out here?

The teens literally jumped like three feet away from each other as they nodded.

Adrien: Y-y-yeah, I uh...

Marinette: A-Adrien just dropped me off, w-we were just saying goodbye until tomorrow.

Sabine: Oh ok, Adrien, would you like to grab something before we close?

Adrien: I uh, y-yeah, sure, I liked the green macaroons Marinette gave me yesterday.

Sabine: Oh, those are pistachio, Marinette created those when she was twelve.

Adrien: That's really cool.

Sabine: Yeah, well, come on in.

The teens nervously got in, not saying a word

Sabine: Marinette, I'm gonna go put these packages on the kitchen. Can you attend Adrien?

Marinette: Yes, Mama

Marinette: So um, same order from yesterday?

Adrien: Uh, just 4 croissants and pistachio macaroons

Marinette: Ok

The atmosphere was so tensionist between them that neither of them really talked.

Adrien: S-so I'll see you tomorrow?

Marinette: Y-yeah

As the teen said goodbye, all they could think about was what would have happened if Sabine hadn't appeared.

When Adrien arrived home, Gabriel and Emily noticed his face like something had him thinking.

Emily: Adrien is everything ok?

Adrien: Yeah, I uh I was just distracted

Gabriel: You know, you can tell us anything.

Adrien: Everything was great, it was just that Marinette and I , well sorta almost kissed.

Emily squeal to the point were she sounded like she had just gotten the news of her live.

Emily: Oh my Adrinette is soon to be sailing

Adrien: What?

Emily: Nothing don't worry.

Adrien: (groans and sighs)

Emily: What's wrong?

Adrien: I'm afraid that I might well screw up my relationship with Marinette.

Gabriel: Why you say that?

Adrien: Because Luka tried to kiss her and she doesn't want him close to her now..now I'm scare she might want me far from her as well.

Gabriel: Adrien don't take it to hard but you are blind my son

Adrien: What why?

Gabriel: You said that Marinette and you almost kissed right?..

Adrien: Yes

Gabriel: well did she also leaned in to kiss you?

Adrien: I uh, yeah I think so

Gabriel: You think so?

Adrien: I don't know, maybe?

Gabriel: Ok, well if she were let's say to want you to stay away she would have said something don't you think?
