Chapter 2

A year later

Marinette's POV:

I woke up, do to my alarm ringing. I wish night time would last at least 20 hours so I could sleep in piece. I get up from bed and do my normal routine, it's finally senior year I'm so excited but even so I won't show it everyone knows I don't show any emotions sense last year. My friend Alya has been teasing me by saying that Luka and I would be the cutest, buy she knows I'm not looking forward to dating anyone. As I get to the school I was going up the stairs when I accidentally bumped into someone.

Boy: O-oh I'm sorry I didn't see you there.

Marinette: (with a cold tone) it's fine.

Boy: N-no really I-

Marinette: I said it's fine! (I said getting annoyed)

I left and went to the school yard where I met with Alya.

Alya: Sup Girl.

Marinette: Hey Als, what's up?

Alya: Nothing much, did you study for that math test we have today?

Marinette: yes

Alya: That's great...soo how is my Lukanette doing?(she says with a smirk)

Marinette: Alya I will say this one more time, Luka is just a friend get it F-R-I-E-N-D my friend.

Alya: Fine fine but trust me this year you will fell in love with someone and that's guaranteed

Marinette: Yeah sure Alya.

Alya: Oh by the way, I heard we'll have a new student coming to our class

Marinette: (sarcastic) how exciting

Alya: Seriously girl I heard his handsome

Marinette: Good for him.

Alya: You know, I know that you say you don't want to date any guy but I don't like seeing you by yourself, distancing yourself is not always good you know?

Marinette: Als, I already tried dating someone and it was a terrible mistake I don't want to be broken like that again, boys just gets girls to fall for them to compliment them win their hearts to just break them later like it isn't worth anything. That's why I don't want to open up to anyone I won't let another boy in my life until I know he's the right one even if I have to wait years, and if I never find my soul mate that's fine.

Alya: Marinette, you say that because you're still hurt for what Nathaniel did to you but not all the boys are the same you know.. take Nino for example...

Marinette: look Als I know Nino is a great guy but I don't want to open up to anyone.

Alya: Fine whatever you say but when you fell in love I will tell you *I told you so*

Marinette: sure thing, we'll I gotta head up to class see you there.

As she walked to class she avoided everyone like she always did, as she reached her first class she noticed Luka sitting by her side of the table she just gave him a look and sat down.

Marinette: Good Morning

Luka: Good Morning melody

Marinette: Again with that nickname? Seriously? You know I sing worse than a crow

Luka: (chuckles) You are too funny Marinette, and besides that's what you say but for me your voice it's like a beautiful melody that is hidden but wants to come out so it can be heard.

Marinette: what does that even means?

Luka: It means that it describes you. You are a beautiful girl that because of her pain of the past doesn't want to experience new things because you've created walls around you, and you only feel comfortable with what you are use to and are afraid to see or feel something new in your life. But at the same time you would love to break away from what you know but you still afraid of what might happen so you think of the possibilities and scares you the result so you don't try.
