Izuku hated himself. Why did he have to be so useless? He was sure that Aizawa had noticed something. He could feel his teachers gaze on him from time to time. Izuku just wanted to sink into the floor and never come back. He didn't want to talk with Aizawa or anyone at this point. He just wants to lay in bed hoping that the ceiling would come down and crush him to death. But he feared that the ceiling wouldn't come down any time soon even if he continued glaring daggers at it. A sigh left Izukus mouth. Everything that could go wrong did in fact, go wrong.Kacchan finding the bathtub, him failing at keeping up the act hat everything was fine, Aizawa noticing that somethings wrong,oh, did he forgot to mention that his scars were in fact infected and that the bruise on his stomach seemed to grow bigger? And he also thinks it's worth mentioning that he has training with All Might later. Shitty day or just a shitty life in general? Izuku was going for the second option.
He couldn't even hope that All Might was a bit more gentle today because, if someone was not gentle it was All Might. His mentor would definitely win the "ungentle" award if there was one. Mhm, maybe Izuku should invent one. He doubts that others would vote for All Might though. He was the Symbol of peace after all. His mentor was great at keeping up the "caring facade". He showed no one his true colours. Except for Izuku, of course. Because who would anyone believe? A former quirkless kid or the fucking Symbol of peace? You take a wild guess.
If he knew his training schedule correctly today would be stamina training. Meaning, he would have to run around the campus of UA five times and after do sit ups, blanks, push ups and many other things. Sadly, he did remember his training plan correctly and today was stamina training. Someone please kill him. Maybe the ceiling would fall down if he started a little longer.
His staring contest with the ceiling was disturbed when a soft knock was heard. Izuku got up and opened the door. If the person in front of the door noticed Izukus shocked expression they didn't comment on it.
"Do you have a minute, Midoriya? I would like to talk with you regarding today's class" his homeroom teacher said.
"Uhm actually I have to go somewhere right now, can we talk another time?" the boy, much to his pleasure, asked without stuttering.
"I'm afraid it can't really wait." Aizawa answered.
The boy averted his gaze to the floor which didn't go unnoticed by the pro hero.
"How about we walk towards your destination while we talk, that way you won't be that late." The teacher offered.
The teenager just nodded, walking outside the dorms with his teacher. His classmates who were sitting in the common area looked at them while they walked past. Midoriya could see some of them mouth the words "Good luck" which made him smile a bit.
When they finally made their way outside the uncomfortable silence grew bigger until his teacher finally began speaking.
"I watched you all for a bit while sparring. You did good against Kaminari. I noticed you analysing the fight while actually fighting. That's great, you should keep it up. It's important that hero's can analyse while fighting. But I'm not here to shower you in compliments or try to sweeten up what happened, I'm not one to avoid talking about these things. So let's address the elephant in the room. During warming up you slacked a bit. Although it's okay to have a bad day, it shouldn't affect your durability. You're usually one of the first to finish and this time you were, not one of the last, but very close to that. The other thing is the fact that during sparring you nearly collapsed. Don't even try lying your way out of this, I saw it. I'm your teacher Midoriya, if I tell you no more sparring, it means no more sparring. And that will always be the end of discussion. I understand that you want to get strong but if you go way past your limit you'll die out there. A death hero is as good as no hero. I'm not trying to say that you shouldn't go over your limits, you need to do that in order to grow, but your body looks exhausted. If this continues I can't let you participate in training anymore, kid. I know that sounds harsh but I want to see you grow into being the best hero and if I need to ban you from participating I won't hesitate to do so. As your teacher I had to tell you this. But I'm not quite finished yet. While you were sitting out I heard you talking to yours self. Although I couldn't exactly make out what you said I was still able to hear some words which were pretty concerning. So i thought I would make this clear. I didn't make you sit out as a punishment. It was to make sure that your body got a break. If there's something bothering you or someone being mean, you can always come to me or go to Hound Dog, alright?" His teacher finished looking at him,
Izuku was shocked. He knew that his teacher must have noticed something but that he was that observant shocked the boy. He felt his teachers gaze on him, waiting for an answer.
"T-thanks Mr. Aizawa for telling m-me this. But u can a-assure you t-th-that I'm fi-ine. It was just-just a ba-d-d day." like usual was unsaid.
"Mhm, alright. I have another question for you. I noticed you clinging onto your stomach. Are you hurt anywhere? Did Kaminari hit you really hurt or were you already hurt?" His teacher asked.
Fuck
"I-uhm-I" Izuku didn't think that he could lie himself out of this situation.
"Ahhh young Midoriya, Aizawa. I was wondering where Izuku was at. Our training started half an hour ago." The symbol of peace fake smiled.
"All Might" his teacher greeted with a nod.
Izuku was fucked.
"Sorry to keep you waiting i had some business to talk with Midoriya about." Aizawa explained.
"Oh? I hope nothing bad." his gaze fell onto Izuku, who got goosebumps.
"It's all fine, don't worry. You two have fun." and with that his teacher left.
Izuku wanted to call out for him, begging him to stay but his mentors glare made all air leave his lungs.
The Symbol of Peace turned around walking inside the Gym. The teen quickly followed, praying to the gods above that the consequences wouldn't be to bad. When a slap sound echoed through the gym he knew that his prayers weren't heard.
Tears started to form in his eyes at the realisation that his mentor just slapped him. His cheek was already going red and he hoped that it wouldn't leave a bruise. It would be hard to cover.
"Do you remember the last time that you were late?" his mentors voice, full with venom, asked him.
Izuku froze. Flashbacks of last time floating into his mind.
It was summer and Izuku met with All Might for the fifth time since they started training. He was running a bit late since he had to help his mother with the groceries. He wasn't able to send his mentor a quick text, informing him of the situation but he was sure that his mentor would forgive him. Except, he didn't.
He made Izuku do hard core training, not letting the poor boy take a break. Izuku hadn't drank any water in the last 3 hours. His lungs were on fire but his mentor didn't even seem close to end the training for that day. Izuku had to run a marathon without any water as punishment. As soon as he arrived at the finish line he collapsed. But All Might didn't seem to care as he forced the boy to stand up and run up the stairs of a thirty story building, again all without any water. The boy fainted twice during it but his mentor didn't care.
Izuku was met with another slap, this time to his other cheek.
"Don't make me ask again, boy." All Might warned.
"Yes, I-I do r-remember S-Sir" the boy answered.
"Then why are you late?" the Symbol of peace spit out.
"Mr. Aizawa had to t-talk to m-me about s-something,I'm s-sorry" Izuku quickly apologised.
All Might just scoffed. "You clearly need a reminder on who's in charge here. How about instead of 5 laps around the campus we go with, mhm, let's see...25?" his teacher smirked.
The teen flinched at the amount of laps but knew better then to argue, so he simply nodded and started running. He was barely 5 steps in when he heard a "You have one hour, if you take longer the rest of the training will be hell".
Izuku hoped that he will be able to do it.
I'm home from school today because of snow? Idk and Idc. And i hoped to chill out today and rewatch some anime's but I don't have WiFi so I'm pissed.
Lemme know what you think in the comments! ;D
