Xavier's POV.

As I was fixing up an older lady's car, she was talking to me about her grandson. She kept telling me how I look a lot like her grandson and how I act like him too. She also said that when her grandson gets older, he wants to do what I do I was under hood rolling my eyes don't get me wrong. I love the customers it's just when I hear the same thing over and over every single day it gets annoying after I finish fixing up her car. I told her she can pay for the service at the front desk. She said OK and I went to go wash my hands even though today was Friday. It was a slow day I would get a few customers here and there but other than that it's been quiet.

I saw my boss talking on the phone. I walked up to him and asked him if it's OK if I take my 30 lunch break he said that's perfectly fine but he needs me back here after I get done and I told him we'll do so as I was sitting at the diner, listening to my fiancé talk about her day I saw that my shoes are untied as soon as I went to burn down to tell them I saw that she was wearing a new pair of shoes. I looked at her and asked her why did she get a new pair of shoes.

Relax honey they were cute. I couldn't pass them up! She said smiling at me.

Anna, you have so many shoes in the closet Some of them are brand new that you don't even wear this is your second pair of brand new shoes that you bought this week? How much were those? I said looking at her feet.

About $200 but it's fine you can always work to get it back! She said, holding my hand.

I wanted to tell her that it's not that simple but I didn't feel like arguing with money. She also gets very upset with me when I argue with her about certain things yes I'm a mechanic and I do make good money I make $600 every Friday but I also have to pay bills every time when I get paid, she always asked me for money, and I always give her it I mean she has a job. She works as a receptionist at an office company but she claims she doesn't get paid good money I did try to tell her to just quit and find another job that pays her good, but she insisted that she stays there after I got off my lunch break I went back to work. Usually I get off at 8:30 PM, but my boss let me off at six when I pulled into the driveway.

I saw some Amazon packages on the front porch and I knew Anna got some more stuff off the line. I got the packages and I went inside and put them in the living room I thought Anna would be home because she gets off at 5 o'clock. I was fixing to call her until I saw a message from her basically telling me that she won't be home until later on because she's getting a drink with some of her friends I text back OK I also told her that I found her Amazon packages. She basically just said put them up for her so I did after I take a shower I heated up a TV dinner and watch TV while eating after I ate I went right to bed I have today off so I figured I would just relax and see what bills need to be paid I have $2000 saved in our cash jar that money goes to bills or groceries.

As I was eating my bowl of frosted flakes, I watched a little bit of TV I stopped. My phone started ringing I looked and saw that it was Jacob. I haven't talk to him in about three months because I've been busy working and trying to take care of everything when I answered it, he sarcastically said he was surprised that I answered, considering I was too busy to hang out with him I told him he knows that I work a lot and I'm trying to provide for me and Anna's future.

Ah yes Anna the 20 year old you met and how is she doing? He said.

She's fine Jacob yes she's 20 and I'm 23 she's only three years younger than me. What's so wrong about that! I said, shaking my head.

Nothing look the reason why I'm calling you is because Molly wants to know if you and Anna would like to come to the cabin that we used to go to when we were teenagers! He said to me.

What... I thought they tore that cabin down I mean, isn't that what the owner said! I said, turning down the TV.

He told me that he thought so too He said that Molly didn't say much about it She just asked if we would like to go I was confused and asked him why Molly didn't just ask me herself he laughed a little bit and said that I know mom is still upset about what happened during graduation I quietly said of course. I told him that I didn't know because I had to work and I didn't have time to take a vacation. He said that I work as a mechanic I can get some time off. Apparently they were only going to be up there for a week I said fine I'll talk to my boss and see what I can do after I talked to him. I called my boss I already knew My Boss was gonna say no that he can't give me some time off, but I was surprised when he said yes.

Apparently he was going to close down the shop for two days because his daughter was fixing to have her baby told me to take the time I need I'll see me when I get back. I told him OK and hung up the phone after I took care of those two phone calls I went to the savings jar to grab the money to pay the bills but when I opened it up the only thing in there was $55. I am mediately closed it and quietly said fuck I already figured what happened to the money when Anna came into the kitchen She looked at me and asked me what was wrong. I told her that she needs to stop taking money out of the savings. She looked at me and said she didn't know what I was talking about. I told her don't lie to me and explain to her there was $2000 in this jar now there's only $55 so I asked her why she took it and she told me.
