The sixth year Slytherin girls chattered excitedly as they got ready for the Gryffindor party, even Dorothea had to admit that she was excited, she hadn't been to a Gryffindor party since fourth year, since then the school had been too divided to mingle that much, and she was looking forward to the inevitable fallouts that would happen when Slytherin mixes with Gryffindor.
There was a knock at their dorm door and Leila Davies pointed her wand at it, it swung open to reveal Ezra Nott, a butterbeer bottle in hand and a white shirt unbuttoned. His eyes met Dorothea's and he winked.
"You're all looking lovely," Ezra said from the door, not stepping inside. "Rosier, enchanting."
Dorothea smiled and raised her bottle to him.
"Need anything, Nott?" Lilith Bulstrode asked sweetly, "or are you just here to drool over Dorothea?"
"Lil, I'm constantly drooling over Dorothea."
The blonde witch smiled a little and cast an anxious glance to Elvira, who seemed oblivious and unbothered.
"Your cousin's here, with her mate, Lestrange?
"Oh!" Dorothea exclaimed, "I'm not ready, tell them I'll be down soon?"
Nott nodded at her, "poor girls are having their ears talked off by Malfoy, he's saying anyone who goes to this party is a disgrace."
Priscilla rolled her eyes, "Pansy was saying the same earlier. She's bloody ridiculous, Malfoy says jump, she says how high."
Lilith grinned, "Milly was desperate to go, told her I'd hex her if I saw her anywhere near there. Wish Draco could talk some sense into her."
Ezra laughed and returned back downstairs, moments later Adrian Pucey appeared at the door, his blonde hair pushed back, wearing a plain black sweatshirt. Dorothea noticed how Leila blushed a little at the sight of him and she caught Elvira's eye and smiled.
Lilith Bulstrode scoffed.
"Put on a bloody shirt, Pucey-"
"Yeah, make an effort," Priscilla said. "Didn't you see how gorgeous Ezra looks."
Dorothea giggled into her hand as she sat on the floor in front of a mirror. Adrian clenched his jaw and held in a sigh. He looked to where Leila stood by a mirror.
"Uh, Davies-"
"Not her name!" Elvira exclaimed, a little tipsy.
"Leila," Adrian said, ignoring Elvira. "Can I walk you to the party?"
"We're all going there-" Lilith started, being silenced by Dorothea throwing a makeup brush at her.
"Oh," Leila began. "That would be nice, but, my brother's there. He'll be weird..."
"We'll come out to you, Lei," Dorothea said quickly. "Adrian can come in and tell us you're there. Don't let boring old Stefan stop you from having fun."
Leila blushed again, "thanks, Thea," she said softly. "Yeah, alright, Adrian."
Adrian smiled slightly and nodded, "hurry up, Ezra's going stir-crazy waiting for you all."
There were shrieks as Adrian left the room and Priscilla pounced on Leila excitedly.
"Davies has a date!" Lilith sung.
In Fred and George's opinion, Harry's party was a success. It was only ten o'clock, and the common room was packed, mainly with Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws from sixth and seventh year (Ron, Harry, and Hermione had gone up to bed as soon as the first Slytherin boys entered the common room, and as soon as Lee Jordan had pulled out the firewhiskey.) Hermione had tried to argue with George about it, but he argued back that he had Oliver Wood on his side, a prefect.
