Dorothea was grateful for Elvira arriving when she did, Ezra hadn't kicked off, so she assumed that he hadn't seen anything. And truthfully, the witch wasn't sure how far it would have gone.

"Surely you don't need anything to make your life more complicated?" Elvira was saying. "I think you're being reckless, Dorothea."

The blonde witch sighed and leant back into an armchair. Elvira was sat opposite her on a sofa, leaning forwards as she spoke to her friend in the unoccupied Davies library.

"You're the one who wanted me to be friends with him- them!"

"Yes, friends Dorothea. Not kissing him at a party your fiance is at. If he saw, and we don't even know that he didn't, if he saw he could tell your mum. What would she do? To you? To Fred?"

"He didn't see anything, and even if he did, he's too drunk to remember."

"Sorry," Elvira sighed. "I just worry."

Dorothea smiled at her friend and moved to sit on the same armchair, pulling her into a hug, "thank you."

Elvira moved away from her friend and smirked slightly, "Fred Weasley."

"It doesn't mean anything! I'm drunk."

"Still, you'd have had me sent to St Mungos if I'd told you that a year ago."

Dorothea laughed and groaned, "I know, I think I'm the one who ought to be going now."

"No," Elvira said seriously, "he's nice."

"I know that. It still doesn't mean anything."

Elvira nodded, "that's fine. We're going to get a carriage soon, how are you getting home?"

Dorothea groaned, she was supposed to be leaving with Ezra but felt that she'd rather sleep on her own.

"I'll apparate, I suppose, was meant to go back with Ezra but I think he'll end up staying here."

"Dorothea, you can't apparate, you're drunk. We're staying at Lee's in London, why don't you come?"

"My mum gets back in the morning, I'm not sure what time, but i either need to be at mine, or Ezra's. I'll come to London and get the train. Or apparate, then I'll be closer."

"Fine," Elvira nodded, sighing as she pushed herself out of the armchair and holding out a hand to Dorothea, "let's go."

Lee, George, Fred and Oliver were sat silently in a carriage, Lee with his head lolling onto Oliver's shoulder in a drunken slumber, Oliver also dozing off. At the sounds of Elvira and Dorothea's voices the four turned around, seeing the girls clutching each other's hands, Elvira pulling Dorothea towards the carriage. The blonde girl in the gold dress stopped and held a hand up to her friend, letting go and rushing to where Leila Davies stood with her newly announced fiance. She gushed and congratulated them in a forced sweet voice, hugging Leila and nodding at Adrian, asking them to look out for Ezra and tell him that she was going to apparate home, ensuring the pair that she wasn't drunk.

"He's coming," Fred said as Dorothea accepted his hand to pull her into the carriage, "Nott," he said, gesturing to where Ezra was stumbling out of the house.

Dorothea slumped down where she sat beside Fred so that she couldn't be seen, exhaling as they started to move, sitting back up, noting the awkward air in the carriage. Elvira said nothing but let her head fall against Oliver's other shoulder, George sat on the other side of Fred thinking to himself silently, smiling everytime he looked over at Ollie and Vira. Fred mulled over Ezra's words, becoming increasingly agitated.

"Did you oppose your union with Ezra?" He said suddenly into the air. Elvira's head shot up and Oliver also opened his eyes, the dark haired witch narrowing her eyes at Fred Weasley.
