Twenty-Three: Taking The Hunter Exam...

Half a Year Later

     It was finally the day, finally the year I get to take the Hunter Exam. My birthday was a couple of months ago, and I spent that time making sure I wasn't rusty. Everyday from then onto now me and my father sparred from afternoon all the way to midnight, making sure I was at my very best before going in to take the exam which happened to be starting today. I was currently staring around the room of my home before my golden eyes drifted to the objects in my hands. It was the pin and Ace of spades card that the both gave me in my original world, though I've fiddled with them and shrunk them so that they could be worn around my neck as a necklace; it wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for they Citrine crystal that my actual father gave m so long ago.

     Just to keep the memory of my struggles alive and to remember that my father gave me the necklace for my protection I attached the crystal charm to the necklace thatwas currently around my neck, and with a sigh I grabbed  my mini backpack and walked out of my house only to be greeted by my father at the village entrance. "Dad... Don't start worrying for nothing, I'll be back." He smiled at my teasing and his arms reached out to embrace me in a strong loving hug. When he stepped back he grabbed my wrist and placed a bracket on it; it was a bracelet he always wore, which had a horn dangling from the charm that was attached to it.  "Go and give them hell, and when you return, well all celebrate with a feast." He gave me one final embrace before he stepped back and let me go....

     From then on I made my way  crossing the ocean oassing a trail and ending up at a restaurant that literally had a secrete oasseord for those tgeying to only take the hibter exam and then I was greeted by a slightly musty underground tunnel with a few hundred applicants waiting with number badges on them. I'm not entirely sure if it was just a habit or an innate ability but, I ended up categorizing everyone in the room to memory as well as the number badges associated with them; I mean it wasn't like I knew too much already so it wouldn't hurt to know a bit more

   
    "Hello and welcome to the Hunter Exam, please take a badge and make sure to keep it on your person at all times." A green bean of a man came up to me, handing me my badge. With a him, I took it a d gently patted his head as I walked away, examining my badfe and noticing the numerology right away. The numbert was 66, which caused me to stare at it with a arched white brow and amused smile; I was literaky a six away from having what they would call the Devil's number, and honstly it was fitting... I was a demon after all so why not?

    With thebad securly ocer my chest  right on the strap of ymy revealing body suit, I mademy way aimlessly around to try ad pass the time, but I was struck with boredome halfway through, I almost wished that I made friends on my way here to the exam... It was better than walking around bored, they could talk my pointed ears of if they wanted and I wouldn't even be mad in the slightest.

     My nostrils suddenly flared and I growled at the foul smell, my eyes darting arund the tunnel. They camein contact with a face I never wanted to see and I almost gagged when I realized ghe fpul smwll wqs coming from him, Tonpa the rookie crusher. "Hey there, you're klnew right?" He walked up to me with his faux friendly smile with a juice can in his hand, my golden eyes turning chilking as I stared at him. "I'll only say this once.... Keep your foul odor and tampered juice away from me, or this will be the last Hunter Exam you attempt." My blood lust began to bleed out of me with no end, and fill the entire tunnle. Those wo knew what Nen was andnhad alrendly been well accuatomed to it backed away quick anf in a hurry while rose oblivious to it all looked around nervously.

     Tonpa just stared at me with all the blood in his face draining as my aura began to devour him. "Bye bye~" I gave a closed eyed shartooth smile whicb had him running for the other side the tunnle ad dropping his tampered with juice.
