I woke up the next day in high spirits. Today me and Masky were going hunting and this time we would actually end up hunting. He promised that if we didn't he would be banned from cheesecake for a week and nothing gets between Masky and his cheesecake. I got up and got dressed in a red dress and black converse just letting my black hair fall down my face. I looked girly in a good way. I practically skipped down the stairs and into the kitchen where Masky was already waiting, eating cheesecake. 'Hey,' I put my hands on my hips, 'I thought we agreed to no cheesecake, and you have worn that outfit for three days straight.' I bet he was smirking behind his mask, 'I've slept in it too.' I pulled a face, grabbed some food for myself and sat down with him. 'Soooooo, are we waiting until it goes dark?'

'Yup, easier that way.'

'So what are we going to do until it gets dark?' I asked just as Sally and Millie burst into the kitchen from outside and ran upstairs giggling. It was nice to see Millie was having fun. Just as Sally and Millie went upstairs, Clockwork came down with Pikachu perched on her shoulder and Hoodie -I think- trailing behind. 'Heey y'all,' Clockwork said enthusiastically. I smiled back at her, 'Hey.' Hoodie came over to me, a grin just visible underneath his dark hood. 'You're the one who's just arrived? Hm.' I was beginning to dislike this guy already. 'Yeah, why?' I asked him warily. He just shrugged. I definitely did not like this guy and I think Clockwork sensed that because she clasped her hands together and said, 'Okay then, who's up for a game of Fifa?'

'HA, we beat you, again!' Clockwork mocked joyously as we gave each other a -painful- high five. Me and Clockwork were playing against Masky and Hoodie as I was feeling very smug because I was beating Hoodie. They shrugged it off, apparently too 'cool' to be bothered about losing to a pair of girls. After one more match, we turned off the console and all relaxed on the soft sofa. Pikachu, perky as usual bounced onto my lap to use me as a pillow. 'So, heard anything from Jeff?' Clockwork asked. An awkward silence filled the air. I honestly hadn't thought about him, I was too busy with everything else. I didn't even miss him anymore. I was furious at him for ruining my life. 'Uh...' was all I could say. Clockwork must have understood what the awkward silence meant and mumbled an apology. Hoodie, who had been silent almost all of the time we'd been down here then spoke to Masky. 'C'mon, I want to show you something that Ben showed me the other day.' Masky, not really having a say in the matter, was lead upstairs by Masky leaving me, Clockwork and Pikachu, who was now snoring softly. Not wanting an awkward silence, I asked Clockwork if she was in a relationship. 'Well...' she blushed. 'Ooh, tell me.'

'I might have a crush on someone,' she admitted. 'Tell me then!' I sat cross-legged facing her, she mimicked my actions and I suddenly felt like a young innocent teenager again, sharing secrets with my bestfriend. 'It's Toby...' she said with a giggle. Toby..? 'Ohhh,' I said, 'I have no idea who that is.' Realisation crossed Clockwork's face, 'Oh yeah, you've not met him yet. I'll have to introduce you to him later. Are you hunting with Masky later?' she asked. 'Yeah, when it gets darker.'

'I'd ask if I can join but I don't really wanna be your third wheel or anything.' I laughed at that. 'Why would you be? It's not like we're a couple or anything.'

'Yeah but he does like you.' My heart fluttered for some reason and I pictured Masky in my head. Did he really like me? But why? 'It's obvious, well it is for us because we know what he's like. When he found out that you would be coming to the mansion, he was so excited that he spent a lot of time decorating a room for you and every day, he would ask if you had shown up yet. Then when you got here, he was acting differently around you too. He would generally spend his time alone, even when he went out to hunt but he spends more time in a day than he would spend with all of us in a week.' She stopped talking and I processed what she had just said. 'You think he likes me?' I asked sceptically. 'No. I know he likes you,' she smirked. For some reason this made me feel giddy and excited. She nodded towards the door. 'You'll wanna be leaving now if your hunting, it's starting to get dark.' I nodded, promising to talk to her later and went back upstairs. I wasn't sure where Masky and Hoodie had gone but loud laughter coming from a bedroom upstairs basically told me. I made my way to the room and peered round the door. The room was completely dark except for a glowing computer monitor that let off enough light to be able to keep anyone from tripping over all the clutter on the floor. Two figures stood around a blonde haired guy who was controlling the computer. I suddenly felt a little intrusive and awkward but Masky saved me and my awkwardness when he saw me. 'Jane!' he exclaimed, walking over to me, 'Are you ready?' He mouthed 'quick let's get out of here' and I giggled. 'Bye guys,' he said to the other two before taking my hand in his own and leading me out of the house.

The cool night air was cold as it touched my bare legs and my dress moved softly in the breeze. A full moon hung in the sky and stars were just beginning to appear, glimmering like jewels. 'The sky looks pretty,' I remarked. 'Not as pretty as you,' said Masky. My heart fluttered, he said it so seriously. Did he really mean it? What Clockwork had told me previously popped up in my mind. I began to blush and hid behind one hand. 'Aw, are you blushing?' he teased, pinching my cheek. I batted his hand away and said, 'No,' very defensively whilst looking away so he couldn't see me blushing even more. He laughed. Damn his laugh was cute. 'So, we are actually going to kill someone tonight aren't we?' he asked and it almost sounded sarcastic. 'Excuse me, it was you who bailed last time.'
'Touché.'

We began wandering around the back streets of a neighbourhood, looking for an easy looking house to get in to. We finally stumbled across a small bungalow on a smaller street and we climbed over the back fence. A faint pool of light was spilling from the back window. There mustn't be many people living here, only about one or two so this would be faster than usual. There was a small window which was only just open at the side of the house. 'I won't be able to fit through but you can,' Masky said. 'Let me help you up.' We approached the window and I slowly pulled it open. This was the window to the bathroom and luckily the light was off and the door was shut. There were no signs of people in there so Masky grabbed my waist and helped me scramble through the window. I landed on the bathroom floor softly and listened for any sounds of movement. I could hear quiet voices and giggles coming from somewhere else in the house but before I could kill, I'd have to let Masky in. I tiptoed to the door and slowly twisted the handle and opened the door wide enough that I could assess my surroundings. 'Hurry up I'm bored,' I heard Masky complain quietly from outside. I couldn't reply otherwise the people would hear me so I ignored him. I looked out of the door again and I could see which room the light was coming from. The door was slightly open but if I was careful enough, I could get to the front door quietly. I slipped out of the bathroom and in to the hall. Not wasting any time, I ran to the front door. The owners of the house had conveniently left the key in the door.I let Masky in the house and he said, 'See this is why we make such good partners.' I wondered if he meant hunting partners or something else. I think I was hoping something else. We headed for the room with the light on and just sauntered in. There were two girls laid in bed facing each other just talking. When we walked in they both looked at us and went very pale. They stopped talking immediately. Everything that happened afterwards was so strange. It was like they knew who, or what, we were. The shorter one of the two got out of bed and approached us, very curiously actually. The next thing she said caught us completely off guard. 'Hi, I'm your biggest fan.' We just started at her dumbfounded. What we hadn't realised was that when the first girl was talking to us, the other one had managed to climb out of the window and escape. Oh no. Me and Masky exchanged worried glances. She will have reported us which means the police might be here soon. The girl then made a run for the window too but Masky grabbed her waist, holding her back. She began to kick and claw at Masky's hands but I drew my knife right across her throat. She suddenly stopped fighting Masky and he dropped her on the floor. She grabbed at her throat in an attempt to stop the bleeding but failed. She did succeed in killing herself faster. After watching her pitifully wriggle on the floor in her own blood, she finally died. 'That was so boring,' I complained, 'and one of them got away.'
'Yeah, that sucked.'
'Ruined the mood.'
'Wanna head back?'
'Yeah.'

We walked the long way back, walking slowly so we could spend more time together. When we got back to the mansion the sun was just peering over the horizon. We were almost there, hand in hand, when Sally exploded out of the front door. 'Jane. Quick. Jeff's here.'
