I spent the rest of the day in my room sulking, refusing to speak to anyone other than Pikachu and Smile who were both keeping me company. I think they could sense that something was wrong, particularly Smiledog. 'I just don't get it...' I pondered, 'A test, what did he mean?' Smile nudged my leg to get my attention. He wasn't going to kill him. This was Smile's way of talking to me 'He was,' I retorted stubbornly, though I was beginning to doubt that, and feel bad for cracking his mask. You need to go eat, Smile said, looking at me with accusing eyes just as my stomach growled. 'No, he'll be down there.'
You know you have to speak to him at some point. I sighed, Smile was right. 'Whatever,' I said heading downstairs.

I prayed that Masky wouldn't be in the kitchen though I knew the chances of that were slim as he was usually eating cheesecake in there. I was mentally crossing my fingers and was mildly surprised to see his usual seat empty. Not wasting time, I rummaged through the cupboards to find a snack. I grabbed some biscuits and turned to sneak back upstairs, thanking whoever that I didn't see Masky. That was until I turned and walked right into his chest. 'What are you doing?' I fumed at him, still mad from the earlier incident. He placed his hands on my shoulders, 'Calm down, bad day?' He smirked. He sure knew how to wind someone up. 'Move,' I said shoving him out of the way and rushing back to my room. I slammed the door and retreated back to bed to eat my biscuits. 'Great idea, thanks,' I said to Smile who looked at me worriedly. I rolled my eyes. 'Why? Just why?'

I spent the rest of the day sulking in my room to the point of Pikachu leaving because I was being that moody. The night was just beginning when I heard a quiet little knock on my door. 'What?' I asked. The door creaked open and a white face stared at me through the crack. 'Get out. Now,' I said to Masky. He didn't. He walked in, closing the door behind me and stood awkwardly at the end of my bed. 'You know I wouldn't have done that, I told you, it was a test and you know that deep down,' he explained. Told you so, I heard Smile taunt. I crossed my arms, 'What test?'

'I just wanted to see if you still felt remorse, or love.' I fell silent, what was I thinking. He had been so nice to me and he probably wasn't lying, he seemed genuine enough. Suddenly the crack running through his fixed smile shot arrows of guilt through me. 'I'm sorry about your mask,' I whispered, looking down at my hands. 'No problem, I kinda deserved it... kinda,' he said, 'Anyway, let's go.' He practically dragged me out of bed and out of my room, 'Wait where,' I asked, trying to keep up with him once again. 'We're going hunting.'

We were crouched in the darkness as we waiting for the last light in the house to be switched off. When it was, we would make our move. 'Nervous?' Masky asked quietly. 'What? No, of course not,' I said, amused. Why would I be nervous? The last light in the house was finally turned off and that was the sign for us to make a move. We silently snuck to the door, locked obviously but Masky was supposedly very skilled in lockpicking so I watched him fiddle with the lock and a thin piece of metal until we heard the click of the lock. He nodded to me and we entered the house, blending perfectly with the shadows. The moonlight outside reflected slightly off his mask, giving us enough light to navigate our way quietly upstairs. When we were upstairs there were three doors. One was slightly open and inside it was a teenage boy. One of the two other doors probably lead to a bathroom and the final room would probably be the parent's room. Masky pointed at me and then to the boy's room. I nodded and crept in and slowly shut the door. His curtains were open which was unusual as most people shut their curtains when they slept. I sunk my knife slowly into his arm and pulled it out again quickly causing him to wake up, screaming in pain. 'NO,' he yelled. The rest happened so quickly. He reached under his pillow for something, I heard a deafening bang and then we both just stared wide eyed at eachother. My stomach grew really warm and tingly for some reason. I looked down to examine it. Blood. There was so much blood rushing out of a bullet hole in my stomach. I just looked back at the stunned boy, watching me, horrified, from his bed. The bedroom door slammed open and Masky rushed in and leapt at the boy. It happened too fast for the boy to shoot Masky, thank god. Time dragged on slowly and everything passed by in a haze. I vaguely remembered Masky, covered in blood picking me up and saying something to me. Then I felt the cold sting of the night air. After that, I just remember sleeping for a long time.

Shorter chapter this time guys>.< sorryy.
