This was a bad idea, all I'd done was walk around aimlessly I'd had no luck whatsoever in finding Jeff and my feet hurt. I sighed angrily and say in the floor. I couldn't do this. Not even for Jeff.

Yes. you can and you will. Sighing I got back up and decided how I would find Jeff. I climbed up a very tall tree. I was okay at climbing trees because Jeff taught me so I wouldn't be scared. Once I got to the very top, I looked for any sigh of movement, none. Okay, this 'tracking down your psycho boyfriend-kinda' was harder than I had anticipated. He could be anywhere right now. Climbing back down from the tree I went to explore hidden places where someone insane might hide. I started walking to where there was supposed to be a cave of some sort further down. All of a sudden, I heard panting behind me and I quickly spun round to face, apparently no one. Which sucks, I thought it might have been Jeff but it was probably a bird flying. I carried on walking and I swear I heard barking. I hoped it wasn't wolves, I really didn't need any missing limbs, this was hard enough. Ignoring my, hopefully, overactive imagination I came to a stream. I'd been here before with Jeff, it was valentines day and we had a playfight, resulting in me getting pushed into the stream. All around this little forest held mermories of me and Jeff together, that's why I'd presumed he'd be in here. That's if he even remembered me. I heard panting again and a spash behind me after I'd crossed the river. There was definately somone following me. Not wanting to draw any more attention to myself I calmly found a tree to climb and once I had climbed it, sat there between the leaves, hopefully out of sight from anyone. It could be the police, a stalker, Jeff, a murder. I wasn't taking my chances. There wasn't much to do but sit there and I was not leaving that tree until I saw someone, just for my peace of mind. For a while there was nobody except squirrels, but squirrels didn't pant did they? After about an hour I grew restless, I was supposed to be looking for Jeff not squirrel watching. I stood up balancing carefully on my branch with my arms spread out to help me. I walked to the edge of the branch and crouched down. The neighbouring branch wasn't too far away, maybe if I could just... Using all my strength, I leapt from my first tree branch safety onto the other one. Well at least I thought it was safe, until it started to snap. I jumped up quickly, just missing falling with the branch, and grasped the branch above me. I sighed a sigh of relief, I was safe, for now. Getting up onto this branch we easy. It was very strong and there wasn't much chance in it snapping. That was pretty fun actually, I could be like Tarzan. I considered doing it again but when I looked down I saw how high I'd climbed. If I fell, I would break my leg or ankle, and that's if I landed on my feet. Shrugging my shoulders, I did it anyway, Jeff was probably more dangerous than this. I climbed round a few branches on the tree I was in and got as close to the end of a branch I dared. Leaping again, careful to pick a strong branch, I caught it and dug my nails into the bark, my foot slipping but I managed to stay on. Yup, definitely Tarzan. I carried on 'tree-jumping' for a while until I got tired and had a rest. If there was anyone trying to follow me they would have probably lost track of me by now. I was pretty high up and could just see the ground from where I was. If I stood up, if be able to stick my head out of the trees and look around. I laid on my belly, letting one arm and leg swing off one side of the branch and resting my forehead on my other arm. I closed my eyes for a bit...

When I woke up again, it was dark, surprised I hadn't fallen off my branch, I surveyed my surrounds, nobody was around, no Jeff. I was just as relived as I was disappointed but I guess I'd just have to keep searching. I missed Mum and Dad, I hoped they weren't too upset. This was ridiculous, I was getting frustrated now, I'd not even seen Jeff. Wanting to move on, I started to climb down from my branch, just as I was about to drop down from my final branch, I saw a shadow bounding from one tree to another. Jeff! Maybe. Carefully crouching on my branch I waited, I could hear panting again. I don't think it, he, knew I was here. I dropped down silently but I landed on a twig and it snapped, echoing like a gunshot. The shadow emerged from it's hiding place between the trees, knocking me over and pinning me down, with a sadistic smile on his face.
