My display was all over the news, Jane the Killer? Yes, that was me. I was also pretty sure that Jeff had got my message. The next thing on my list was clothes. Definitely needed clothes. Back at home there was a clothes shop and there was a beautiful long silky dress, it was as dark as the night. Perfect for sneaking around in, if I got any blood on it, you wouldn't really see it either. I'd ditched my rucksack by now, traveling only with the clothes on my back, my knife and my killer companion. I'd been long enough hiding and watching from the shadows that I knew my way around the twisting trees. Unlike a frightened lost child, I was free and sly like a panther. 'Clothes!' I sung to Smile who grunted. 'You have fur,' I snapped, 'You wouldn't care because you don't have to worry.' Smile just carried on smiling his smile which I'd grown to love. I started humming a tune to a song I used to listen to all the time when I was going through my goth phase. It was still, to me, the greatest song ever. I strolled casually through the woods which would probably remain empty of pitiful humans. Shame. My original mission was still my priority but I was getting that dress. We walked confidently, King and Queen of the shadows. 'Hey, Smile,' I said mischievously, he looked at me curiously assessing my tone, 'We should play a game when we find Jeff,' I stated darkly, 'Each take it in turns to cut off a limb of our choice.' I'm not sure if Smile had really chose a side between me and Jeff, all I knew was that he loved to kill, which meant Smile had to be on my side. Another few miles through the thorns and endless trees and we stepped out underneath a streetlamp. It was pretty old, it didn't give off much light which meant I looked much more cool stood under my shady streetlamp. The shop was a fair walk away but I think I could handle myself if I got caught. Maybe later I could visit that rough town again and have another cool fight with some druggies. We walked along the pavement confidently, as if I wasn't a dangerous criminal, I loved that, how I was branded as dangerous. Smile's fur, I had recently noticed, was matted with dirt and blood, it looked good but so was I. Old blood flaked off my face and dirtied my hair and clothes. I'd be able to sort myself out soon thought. As we walked along I peered into a post office window, the only person working there had his feet propped up, and was drooling. I giggled out loud. The time on the clock resting on the counter read, 6:45. It was pretty dark for that time. I continued into town. A few people roamed here and there but didn't seem to notice me, yet. The shop my dress was in seemed to call me invitingly and I could already taste the blood of my next victim. It was a elderly women starting intently at the clock as if she could bend time with her will. She looked like she'd sucked a lemon the way her mouth puckered and her grey hair was scraped into a tight bun on her head. I strolled in with Smile by my side, 'No dogs,' she snapped. 'Oh this isn't a dog,' I grinned. 'I think I know a mutt when I see one now either get the dog out or go,' she snapped, wrinkles moving furiously. 'Hmm,' I started look at my dress, 'I like this one.' I pointed to it completely ignoring her protests. She rose out of her seat, 'Leave now,' she said. I just smirked at her amused. She clearly hadn't been up to date with the news. As she got closer, she looked me up and down and saw the blood and Smile grinning at her. Her whole body started to tremble and she ran for the phone. 'I wouldn't do that if I were you.' I warned, she still did. I sighed, hopeless idiots. As fast as she had reached the phone, Smile dragged her on the floor and chewed her face. I watched as his teeth sunk into her face and blood spurted on the floor. 'Enough,' I said. We'd just leave her to bleed to death, I wanted my dress. I threw all my other clothes on the floor and pulled the dress down off the mannequin. I looked at myself in a mirror by some changing cubicles. The silky material clung to my body and was lose around my bare feet. I swirled and watched the material float around me. I looked so pretty. We left the shop and I left all my belongings behind except the dress I wore and my knife and decided to carry on barefoot. The people wandering around outside had noticed me and Smile by now. Smile's fur was speckled with fresh blood and his nose was a deep red. People screamed at the sight of us and hurried away but I couldn't be bothered to chase anyone. My outfit felt plain, I'd probably just see if I could find a necklace of some description. Around the streets there was a jewellers. Convenient. I located the shop and tried the door, locked of course. The owner will have left by now. Oh well. The glass was thick so I didn't reckon I could break through it but I was bored and I wanted some fun. I went round the back of the shops to find a load of rubbish and other things. On the top of the shops happened to be some flats, they looked empty. 'Can she climb it?' I asked out loud. 'Yes she can.' I approached the wall and dug my fingers between the old cracked brick. I pulled myself up scaling the wall like a pro. I nearly dropped my knife on the way and I didn't want to lose that. We'd been through so much together. I got high enough to reach the window and punched it. The glass surrounding cracked. I hit it a few more times until it shattered. I brushed some lose bits of glass out of the frame and swung my leg over the frame. I looked down to Smile, 'Wait there.' I whispered before disappearing into the darkness. I landed softly in a crouch. The lack of furniture and central heating made me assume nobody lived here. I stood up to find a way downstairs. It wasn't hard. There was a flight of stairs leading down to the jewelry shop. Great. This door was locked too. I started to kick it and the old rotting wood splintered easily. I grabbed a piece of wood a pulled it, the piece broke off in my hands. I was breathing heavily because of how tiring that was. However, once I'd calmed down, I realised the breathing wasn't my own. I spun round to see a small sillouette, outlined by the moon. It was a little girl clutching a bear. She was covered in blood. Had she followed me here? She let out a earsplitting scream before she came straight for me. I dodged her and she turned back round to face me. Dispite the smile on her face, her eyes blazed with fury. 'Do you want to play a game?' she asked, in a sickly sweet voice before racing towards me again. I rolled my eyes and pushed her on the floor as she pounced at me baring her teeth. As I crouched down to talk to her I saw her face. She had bright green eyes which stood out from the rest of her face. There were deep cuts in her and running up and down her arms and legs. Her little pink dress was almost completely soaked in blood and so was the little bear she carried. I knew who this was, Sally.
