The next day, Selina is walking Dick to school.
Dick: Nine and nine are 18.
Selina: Really?
Dick: Nine times nine are 81.
Selina: Amazing.
Dick: 2,000 pounds make a ton.
Selina: Wow.
Dick: That sign says, "Gotham City."
Selina: You still have to go to school.
Dick: Holy first day! Do I have to like it?
Like it or hate it, you have to go. Do you wanna be stupid when you grow up, like Lord Ffogg and Lady Peasoup?
Dick: Okay, I like it. I like it.
Emma: Isn't that the boy with the dragon?
Cheryl: I think so. Let's go see. Come on. (They ran to Dick.) Are you the boy with the dragon?
Dick: Yep.
Emma: Is it a he-dragon or a she-dragon?
You don't name girls "Elliott."
Emma: Where is he?
Dick: Following me.
Cheryl: Elliott the dragon is walking right there.
Rupert: I can't seem to make out his color.
Dick: Mostly green.
Daniel: He's not too big, is he?
Dick: Regular dragon size.
They look at the invisible Elliott.
Johnny: Wow.
Dick: Dick, school.
At the docks, fishermen are trying to catch fish but none of them caught anything.
Fisherman: I ain't got hardly nothing to sell.
Fisherman 2: So? I pulled my nets in, and there weren't a fish in them.
Fisherman 3: I just docked. There ain't nothing out in that ocean but water.
Fisherman 2: It's real strange, I'm telling you. It's like every fish sort of disappeared. Just suddenly up and disappeared.
Fisherman: There's the cause of it. That kid Dick.
From the day he come to town, the fishing turned sour.Selina: Don't be ridiculous.
Fisherman 2: It's that crazy dragon talk of his. That kid's been nothing but bad luck wherever he goes.
Selina: You're a bunch of superstitious ding-dongs. You know that fishing grounds shift from time to time.
Dick: Elliott will make the fish come back.
Fisherman 3: There he goes, talking dragons again.
Fisherman: Hey, kid! There ain't no room in this town for a dragon, and there ain't no room in this town for jinxes like you, neither!
Selina: Well, if there's enough room for a chowder-head like you, then there's more than enough room for a dragon. (singing) There's room for everyone in this world
If everyone makes some room
Won't you move over and share this world
Everyone make some room
Even a dragon deserves a place, a wide open space
With no reins, no chains
He wants to play games, dance with you
Give him a chance to sing his song
He only wants to belongDick: There's room for everyone in this world
Will everyone make some room
Spread out while Elliott gets uncurled
Fly on his back and Zoom! Both: Rock him, and ride him, and line up beside him
You'll see how quickly you blend
