"One in a million, girl we're still young."

Aria

I sat there a minute rereading my lyrics to my new song. Someone else usually writes music for me, but when I write a song it actually means a lot to me. My EP's and mixtapes that I already released are a mix of songs that I wrote and songs that my songwriter wrote. And you can tell the difference between them.

Jacquees was surprisingly patient and didn't say anything as I sat there reading em. I mean it's not much, but I am nervous of what he would think. At this point, we were both calmed down from the little episode we had earlier.

I looked over at him and he was already looking at me with his beautiful brown eyes. I turned my head back and took a deep sigh. He started smiling.

"Aria...are you nervous?"

I looked back over at him and down at his hand that was sitting peacefully on my thigh, this time not in a sexual way.

"Honestly...yes."

He laughed, "I'm sorry if I make you nervous, love." He was getting a kick out of this, obviously.

I daggered my eyes at him, "Boy don't get the big head, even though it's already to late for that."

He gave me a straight face and I giggled, before continuing "It's just that I never let anyone hear or read unfinished work of mine. Cause I know right now, I don't have a lot and it needs some improvement. And honestly, your opinion means a lot to me because you're a R&B artist like myself and I just... I just want to succeed in my career, ya know?" I told him, letting him know how I feel and that it's deeper than what it seems.

Jacquees nodded understandingly, which made me feel a little better.

"Aria I heard your music before, and I'm a fan. I'm pretty sure what you got written down is not bad. Matter fact, I know it's not. And I know that whatever, you finish with is going to be amazing. Don't stress, princess." He said as rubbed the bottom of my chin.

What he said was really sweet, and for some reason I kept repeating the words in my head as looked at him for a minute.

I lifted out of my seat and leaned over to give him a hug. He instantly accepted as he rubbed my back.

"Que, that was really sweet and it means a lot really, thank you."

"Anytime Aria. Matter fact, you don't even have to let me read it. Yet. Just promise me, that when you finally finish writing it that, you let me see it? Alright?"

I smiled, "Que I promise you're going to be the first one that I let hear it."

He smiled and nodded, "That's right or else I'll have to find out where you live and handle some business, ya feel me?"

I laughed and rolled my eyes, "Boy please, ain't nobody scared of you."

"Sure did seem like it earlier."

I gave him the side eye as he had his famous closed mouth smile, showing that he was amused.

I rolled my eyes, "Que you play so much."

"I wouldn't be me if I didn't." He said shrugging.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you look like you're 12."

He gave me a straight face as I laughed loudly.

"Aria the only thing that's twelve on me is inches, and that's this di-"

"Skrrt! Don't even say it. Nasty ass."
