"Yeah, but at least you're my bitch."

Well the dinner after that was pretty funny.

As soon as we got out there, Ponyboy, Darry, and Mr. Curtis all started clapping, which made me turn red from embarrassment.

"Thank you. Thank you." Soda said, taking a bow. I walked ahead of him and into the kitchen. Boys will be boys.

"That took ya long enough." Mrs. Curtis joked while getting the table set for dinner. I laughed.

I began to help her set up the table with all the plates, napkins, and eating utensils. I also got some cups so everyone could help themselves to soda, water, milk, whatever.

"He used to talk to me all the time about you when you two were fourteen. I told him to say something, but he was too scared." She said, shrugging.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yup." She paused. "I suggest you get your food before the boys run in here." She said.

"You're right." I quickly served myself mashed potatoes, green beans, and steak. Then I stood in a corner where it would be safe

"Come get it, boys!" Mrs. Curtis announced. You would've thought it was a stampede or something. All the running and the house shaking as a bunch of starving boys ran into the kitchen.

Good thing I hid in the corner because the kitchen was quickly filled with the hollering of the gang. Mr. Curtis was a little more sophisticated. He walked in, walked over to Mrs. Curtis, and they gave each other a quick kiss.

After the kitchen cleared out, I was looking for an empty seat. There was a spot next to Soda on the couch. I sat down next to him. I saw Two-bit smirk and he started laughing again. I picked up a pillow and threw it at him.

"Shut up, Two-bitch!" I yelled as the pillow hit him.

"Respect your elders." He said.

"Then don't act like a child." I said, causing Soda to laugh.

"She's not wrong." Dally shrugged.

Two-bit picked up the pillow I threw at him and he threw it at Dally, who picked it up and whipped it back at him.

Two-bit got up and began repeatedly hitting him with it while Dally picked up and pillow and began to hit him back. They were both standing, just whacking each other with the pillows.

There's something funny about Tulsa's tough guy and Tulsa's drunk having a pillow fight. We were all laughing. While Two-bit was distracted, I grabbed his food, put it onto my plate and put the plate back where I found it.

By the time him and Dally finished whatever the hell they were doing at this point, I had finished all of his and my food.

Dally had him pinned to the ground while the rest of the gang still talked like this was normal, which it is for us to be honest.

Dally sat back in his seat and Two-bit went back to his spot on the floor. I snickered, thinking about how crushed he would be without the rest of his plate.

"Where's my food?" He asked sadly. Everyone just shrugged, but everyone in the room except him and Dally knew I took it. He shrugged it off and went to get more.

"So are y'all dating or...?" Steve began. Soda looked at me. I looked at him back.

"Yeah, I guess." I said unsure.

"I never thought Elle would ever date anyone." He said.

"Why wouldn't I?" I asked.

"I don't know, you've just never been interested in anybody." He explained.

"That's because the only boys that aren't assholes are you guys." I paused. "Actually, most of you are assholes." I said.

"Heyyyy." Soda said playfully.

"I said most." I said, booping his nose and smiling. "You're definitely included in that most." He playfully hit me.

"I'm kidding, you, Johnny, Darry, and Pony sometimes are not assholes." I said. Ponyboy put his hands up in surrender. I laughed.

"You're a bitch." Ponyboy said, crossing his arms.

"Yeah, but at least you're my bitch." Soda whispered in my ear jokingly.

"No, you're my bitch." I whispered back, smirking.

"What are you two lovebirds whispering about?" Two-bit asked.

"Are you just gonna call us lovebirds?" I asked.

"Yup." I rolled my eyes at him. I put my head on Soda's shoulder.
