Katniss and Peeta's wedding was in a few days. They chose April, because it's nice out and the flowers are just opening. "Effie, I was planning on wearing an old dress!" Katniss yelled as soon as Effie brought up dresses. "I understand Katniss, but would Cinna want that?" She said, causing Katniss to stay quiet. "He told me, for your real wedding, because everyone knows you would want your own, non televised wedding, he made you a," Effie explained. She knelt down and pulled a beautiful white dress out of her bag. "dress." She finished. Katniss' mouth fell open.

The dress was gorgeous. It was simple but elegant. "Try it."

Katniss obeyed, and quickly stripped to get into the dress. It had a wide opening at the top, long white sleeves, and a loose straight skirt. There were delicate beads placed in a corset shape, outlining Katniss.

"You look gorgeous." I muttered, and Katniss ruffled my hair. "Thank you for bringing this Effie. I'm sorry for yelling at you." Katniss said, and Effie just hugged her and smiled. "Of course Katniss."

The next day I was lying down across from Rory on the grass outside of school. He had his arm behind him playing with my hair. "You're beautiful." Rory muttered. "Thank you. Do you want to come with me to the bakery, I know you can't bake but Peeta needs help making his cake." Rory nodded and hopped up before helping me up. We walked to the bakery hand in hand.

"Here!" I yelled out, and walked to the kitchen and saw Peeta arranging the two layers of cake on top of each other. "Hey love birds." Peeta said, glancing at Rory and I. I felt my cheeks burn and dropped Rory's hand. Rory tried to protest, but failed. "I won't tell Katniss or Hazelle. I promise." He joked.

I started mixing frosting into separate bowls before giving them to Rory to sort into bags under Peeta's guidance.

"Rory, have you talked to Gale?" Peeta asked suddenly. "No. I'm not sure if I really want to." I removed my hand from the spoon of the frosting I was mixing and brushed it through his hair. "He misses you guys. He told me, I was hanging out with him a bit when we went to the capitol." I told him, but he just shrugged. Rory is one to hold grudges.

Everyone who was coming from a diffdistrict for the wedding was staying in an empty house a few down from ours. So that consisted of Effie, all the old victors, any friends Katniss or Peeta had made in 13, a few from town, Katniss' prep team and Gale.

The next day I was hanging out with Laura during lunch, and she was asking me millions of questions. Like what are the capitol people like, what the wedding plan is, will there be an after party. I just nodded or shook my head for most questions, even if that didnt answer them.

School could not have passed quicker. Once I got home, I got to help decorate Katniss' sacred  meadow. Effie reached out to Paylor and Plutarch, and both said it should be televised. So they're having a wedding similar to Annie and Finnick's from 13. Except without the traditional stuff from District 4, replacing it with the 12 stuff.

Pollux and Cressida just arrived, and I never really knew them, but was still told to show them around. "So, how old are you now?" Cressida asked. "Fourteen. Almost fifteen though." I said happily. "Wow. Okay, so, this feild is where the ceremony will be?" I nodded. Pollux walked around the area for a before shot.

After giving the two a tour of the rebuilt 12, I returned home to sit for dinner with Peeta and Katniss. Hazelle told me that the bride isn't supposed to see the groom until she walks down the aisle, so Katniss is sleeping with me tonight.

I was sitting quietly reading a book, when the name Finnick came up. Silence fell over Peeta and Katniss, and the tension became clearer than my skin.

"You should have empty seats. For all those who couldn't make it today." I whispered after a few minutes. "Like one for Finnick. And the rest of your squad. And mom. And all the Mellarks."

Peeta's face went white and he silently got up and started doing dishes while Katniss hugged me. I wiped the few tears rolling down her cheek off and she went to help Peeta.
