For the one year anniversary of the war ending, the Capital was inviting all the living victors and other important people. I, being the lucky little sister who was an amazing medic and feild nurse illegally, got to go as Katniss' family.

So the day before we left, I was hanging out with Rory. Obviously. We lied on his bed and talked for hours, about stupid things or sad things or happy things. About any things. "I wish I could come with you." He said sadly. "Yeah. It'd be fun." I said, sitting up. He sat up too. "You'll probably see Gale there." He whispered, and I hugged him. "I'll say hi to him for you." He nodded and wrapped his arms around me. I laid my head on his shoulder and took in his scent. He smelled of bread from working in the bakery with Peeta, coal, like everyone in 12, and oranges. Odd, but it's his favorite snack.

After leaving the Hawthornes, and took a pit stop in the hob to pick up a new bag for Katniss. She suggested using her game bag to pack, but I had rolled my eyes at her and told her that her clothes would smell like dead animal. Then Peeta said her clothes should be as good as dead, and Katniss said he can wait. That's when I had to dip out.

I returned to my house, quickly packed, then went straight to bed, skipping dinner.

When I woke up in the morning, I mentally prepared myself for the multiple day long train ride. Peeta said it wasn't horrible, but he was used to it. Not me.

We got on the train, and were all assigned our own bedrooms. Haymitch and I obviously knew that wouldn't stick for Katniss and Peeta. "What do you mean it's unnecessary?" Katniss pressured Haymitch for the millionth time. "We all know one of you will have a nightmare and go crawling back." He said, for the millionth time. "Whatever Haymitch." Peeta grumbled, and I raised my eyebrow at him. "You too?" Katniss sighed, and I nodded amusedly.

The four of us were the first on the train. But we had also stopped in other districts to pick people up. The first stop was 7, to pick up Johanna Mason.

"Eugh, smells like capital." She grumbled as soon as she got on. "Ooh, you're Katniss' little sister." She pointed out, and I nodded.

When the train stopped at 4, that was something. Annie Odair boarded the train with her young son in arm. He was about three months old, Finnick Odair Jr. Annie was strange, but everyone who went through those games are. I feel bad for her.

Next we stopped at 3 for Beetee, which is always an interesting experience. He rolled in and started immediately scanning the train, no doubt observing the technology.

The last stop before the capital was 2, which confused everyone, because Enobaria had sadly passed a couple months ago from a disease. Then, Gale got on. He must have already talked to Katniss and Peeta, because the three were cool. I had kept my distance. For Rory's sake.

"Prim? Can we talk?" A strong voice said one morning, and I opened my door to Gale. "Hey." I said duly. "Listen, I didn't know those bombs would be like that. I'm truly sorry about your mom." He sighed and sat down on my bed. "I don't care about that Gale." He looked down at me as I sat next to him. "Why'd you abandon us? Rory and Vick? It's been a year, they need you. I know Rory needs you." I whispered the last sentence, Rory was my best friend. I would make things right for him. "I'll visit. In a couple weeks and I'll apologize to them, and I'll visit more." He promised, and I wrapped my arms around him.

After I let go, he smirked at me. "So what's the deal between you and Rory?" I felt my cheeks burn and he burst out in laughter. "Nothing. He's my best friend." He raised his eyebrows, but left quietly.

When we arrived in the capital, we were ushered to a hotel to stay at. Annie and Johanna and I would share a bedroom, which was grumbled greatly. Katniss and Peeta would share a room, and Gale and Beete were the lucky winners to share with Haymitch.

The next day, we had a brutal awakening to the crys of Finnick. "Annie, it's okay. We had to wake up soon anyway." I reassured her again. "If you insist." She muttered. "It's only her!" Johanna yelled from the bathroom, and I rolled my eyes.

We met with the others in the lobby and made our way to Paylor's mansion where we would be filming. They'd film interviews, then we go to the memorial built.

Luckily, since I was never in the games and I wasn't important, I got to go first. Caesar was sitting in a chair, colorful suit and wig, surrounded by cameras. I looked down at my own, pale pink dress.

"Hello, Primrose, right?" Caesar started, and I released a breath I didn't know I was holding.
