I was unexpectedly greeted by my mother — and father.

"Let me guess you're going to yell and tell me how foolish what I had done?" I said as I folded my arms.

"No, dearest!" Rita said as Zedd took a step forward.

"We need you! We saw how you had Jason in that realm and had the rangers stumped!!"

"And it's also good to see you, old friend." Rita said towards Finster.

He awkwardly smiled.

"I'm surprised you're working with my old friend, dear child."

Before Finster could say anything I took a step forward.

"What do you want?" I said taking a step forward.

"We are sorry. We didn't know—"

I IMMEDIATELY knew their apology was a lie.

"Nope not buying it." I said.

Rita made a noise before Zedd puts his hand out.

"Allow me..."

I made a disgusted noise.

"Mother need I might remind you of what you taught me?" I said in disgust.

Mother taught me that romance is overrated. But here she is — fawning over Lord Zedd.

"Now, Vida. You're—"

"Yeah don't remind me. I'm created for mass destruction." I paused, "Get to the point."

Zedd didn't say a word.

"You do not speak to your father—"

"Allow. Me." Zedd repeated.

"I-I-I think—!" Finster tried to speak but Mother made a noise as Finster stayed silent.

"I was trying to say with your brains with you successfully catching the red ranger—"

"Not anymore." I said leaning back.

"HE ESCAPED?"

"You guys didn't see?" I said an eyebrow raise.

"HOW DID YOU LET HIM ESCAPE?!" Mother screeched.

"It wasn't my fault."

I know if I mention the hologram of myself that would have both of them target the hologram. And I know the hologram is at the center. While I plan on going there... just not right now.

"Then what is it?"

I tried to think of a lie but Finster took a step forward.

"There was a miscalculation that had the crystal ball break."

Rita face palmed.

"ITS ALWAYS THE MISCALCULATION! THATS WHY I GOT RID OF YOU!"

Finster.... He didn't say a word.

"Yea, right miscalculation." I said going along with it.

"Now we know you can't be trusted since you'd fail."

"Up up up." I said putting a finger up.

"I noticed the longest you had the ranger in a dimension, the better they would give up or die and it's only been a day." I said.

"She does have a point, my lord—" Rita finally spoke.

"Indeed."

"But I'm only doing this for me. Not for either of you." Then I looked at Mother's wand, "Better yet give me a wand myself then we'd talk."
