Chapter 44: For You

A/N: Sa totoo lang, matagal ng completed ang story ng MU. And how coincidentally na 'yong nakikita n'yong picture ng outfit ni Rui sa chapter na 'to'y the same outfit na dinescribe ko sa airport scene dito. I would just like to remind you na tapos ko na ang chapter na 'to bago pa lumabas ang 'For You' MV ng BTS. At parehas ding may hawak na papel! 'Yon nga lang magkaiba ang drawing na naroon dahil sa music video ay mapa 'yon samantalang sa story na 'to'y... malalaman n'yo rin. How prophetic! :-) Ang kaibahan nga lang ay sa airport sila nagkita rito samantalang sa MV ay sa tapat ng isang establishment.

The other half of this chapter will be a prelude to another life-changing event in one of our main character's life.

Pagkatapos basahin sa 'kin ni Mom ang nilalaman n'o'y kinuwento naman niya sa 'kin ang natatandaan niyang pinasabi ko kay Rui sa pamamagitan niya bago kami maghiwalay sa loob ng opisinang pinagdalhan sa 'kin sa Kitanomaru Park. It was also something like I'll find him and we'll see each other soon, too.

Katulad ni Mom ay natatawa rin ako habang nilalahad niya ang istorya. Hindi ako makapaniwalang nasabi ko 'yon sa ganoong edad. That I'm aware that I'm in love.

"I even thought that maybe you just hero-worshipped Rui because he rescued you from being lost at the park that time," Mom explained to me enthusiastically. "It crossed my mind that maybe what you're feeling is just a puppy love and will be lost soon when we go back to the Philippines. But, Oliver wasn't successful of making you forget the boy you met in Japan. Oliver was even annoyed that you keep on repeating the things you did with Rui when you're together in Japan. I just knew that you don't fancy Oliver anymore. You're already in love with Rui. But, I refuse to believe it because you're still too young. As the time goes by, you didn't forget him. But, not until the accident happened which erased all of your memories."

I've got a lot of things to ask her that I don't know what to say first. Marami pa 'kong gustong malaman. But, I was rendered speechless. I'm overwhelmed by the things I'm learning right now. But, sadly, no flashes were dawning on me. Alam kong may kulang pa. Munit, hindi ko lang alam kung ano 'yon.

"Is that all, Mom?" usisa ko sa kaniya.

"Wait," she told me. She closed her eyes as she tried to reminisce something from the past. "I... I think there's something more...." Minulat niya ang kaniyang mga mata. "Yes! That's it. There's another letter!"

"Another letter?" I parroted. "What kind of letter? Where is it?"

"I don't know if it's really a letter or a..." nag-isip na naman siya ng malalim. "A drawing! Yes. It's a drawing! You told Rui to keep that drawing and show it to you when you to see each other again. And... And you even told him that... That you'll remember him when he do it!"
