"Would anybody like to tell me who the special guest is?" I asked everybody in the car as I drove us to whatever restaurant we were eating at. My dad sat in the back smirking as they all shook their heads. "You guys are so rude!" I groaned. All they did was laugh at my reaction. It was killing me, not knowing who it was. The only thing I knew was that I loved this guest, and I would probably cry tears of joy when I saw them. But I don't have a clue who it was.
The only sounds in the car was Mick quietly whispering to Paul, Joey playing a game on his phone, Sid tapping a random beat on the door, and the music that could be faintly heard on the radio.
"Well, why is this guest going to be here?" I eventually asked.
"For your birthday in a few days" my dad responded. Oh yeah, today's Wednesday, and my birthday was Saturday. I made an 'oh' face at his reply. The rest of the car ride was spend listening to the same sounds as before. When we pulled into the restaurant, I noticed I had no choice but to parallel park the car. Instead of just pulling into the space, I would have to reverse it.
"Dad?" I worriedly asked, although it wasn't much of a question.
"Yes?" Came his reply. I looked back at him and gestured to the parking space. "Oh" he trailed off. He motioned for me to slide to the middle part, while he got out and took the drivers side. He parked the car with ease, while I sat ashamed. The other guys exited the car, leaving me and my dad.
"I'm sorry I panicked. I forgot what you taught me awhile ago" I apologized. My dad had taught me to park a car both ways, but my brain only remembers the only way I usually have to park.
"Hey, its fine. Its a hard thing to do. Don't be sorry. You impress us all with how well you drive to begin with" he assured. I lifted my head up and smiled.
"Thanks dad" I said. "So, should we go see the guest?" I inquired. He nodded and led me into the restaurant. When we came close to the table, I finally saw the unknown person.
"Anne?" I screamed. She smiled and stood up, accepting my hug. My dad stood by Stephanie and smiled. Anne was one of my moms good friends.
We all sat down, and I spent the entire time catching up with Anne.
"How long are you here?" I asked when we were walking out.
"I bought a house here" she laughed. My smile only continued to grow larger.

"Hey dad, can I have another tattoo?"
"Absolutely not" he replied without looking at me. I sighed.
"Mom let me have a tattoo" I mumbled under my breath.
"I don't care. I'm not her"
"Yeah that shows!" I screamed. How did we even start arguing? It was a simply question. He must be on his man period. I thought.
"Do you want me to be her?" He asked incredulously. My eyes widened and my anger boiled
"Absolutely not. No one can be her. She was too good for anybody! I didn't deserve a mother so amazing! You couldn't be anything close to her if you tried" I replied, tears rolling down my cheeks at the memories. It was true. She was just too good. "Just forget it. Should've known you didn't actually love me" I mumbled. Turning on my heel, I angrily wiped away my tears and pushed past our crowd before heading up to my room. Of course, I have something good happen, and it gets ruined. I'm not sure what exactly set my dad off, but I'll just keep my distance.
I didn't do anything the rest of the night but ignore all of the knocks on my door. My music calmed me as I fell asleep.

The next morning was okay. Being I was alone in my room. I haven't felt so stressed in my whole life, so my solution was to smoke. Sure, a fourteen year old smoking is bad, but I didn't really care. I had a pack in my backpack that I hid at the back of the closet and a lighter. Sitting on my window seat, I lit one and smoked out the window.
I felt so.. Alone. Sure, I was sitting alone in my room, but i felt lonelier than that. My relationship with my dad got worse, and he's probably making then stay away from me. Nobody came to wake me up this morning like they usually do. I just wanted to get out. I wanted to be with my mom.
