Ever felt warmth amid of hailstorm? It's unusual to feel like that, however, it's not bad, I felt fierce and glorious, strong and spirited. My life often has been compared to a storm, destructive. But this very day, when I was aroused from sleep, there was a renewed hope and zeal fluttering in my chest.

It's been days since I felt like this, I could even recollect the last time I felt like this, every day with Aiden, until that fateful day that tore us apart. The dawns were fervent and the dusks were rapturous, he made me feel safe, like a caterpillar in a cocoon. I realized, that when you love someone, forgiveness comes easily. The entire time we were away from each other, deep down, I knew that I had forgiven him, the moment he apologized to me at my mother's house. My passiveness wasn't because of what he did to me, but because he didn't understand that he was unfair to me.

Conceivably, it was a reckless judgment he made in desperation but it was a wrong decision. But now it doesn't matter, he realized his mistake and that's all I needed. We could slowly find what was lost.

"Check and Enter. We are done for the day, Emerald!" Elliot closed the laptop and settled it next to him and tilted his head to look at me. We were completing our assignments for the University as we had a holiday today. We had Office every alternative day, so we could balance our studies easily.

With amusement, I gazed at him, and he grinned. His eyes widened suddenly like he realized something.

"Oh shit, how did forget to tell!" He straightened from his slumped position on the couch in my hotel room, as his countenance leaked with exhilaration and joy.

"What happened Elliot?" I inquired.

" So Mark and I brought an apartment near the office, it's affordable and decent. We will be shifting in a few days."

I had forgotten that all interns had to find their place to stay, this hotel room was assigned to us until we find our place to abide. I haven't found one. I also had been exhausted of capital, my mother had stopped supporting me financially. even though the internship was paying well, the loan for college and daily expenses had made my money tight. I have to find a less expensive place.

"I am so happy for you," I pulled him towards me and hugged him, squeezing the life out of him.

"Thank you but Emerald.... you are choking me," he mumbled and I laughed, and at the same time, clearing someone's throat pulled me out of elation.

I pulled from Elliot and looked at the entrance, where Aiden was standing and glancing between me and Elliot.

"What's going on?" He inquired, chiefly staring at Elliot like striving to examine him while Elliot was looking at him with wide eyes.

"We were just talking," I retorted. Aiden strode to me and pulled me against him while planting a short kiss on my lips. From my peripheral vision, I saw Elliot uneasily watching mine and Aiden exchange.

"Elliot, I am so happy for you, and Mark seems a nice guy, I have met him a couple of times he will surely be a good roommate," I smiled, and Aiden settled his arms around my waist.

"Yes, huh...I think I should leave now. See you around," he said and hastily to retreated from the room. I locked the door and whirled around and infinitesimally narrowed my eyes at Aiden, who now was reclined on the bed.

"What was that?"

"What was what?" He asked, innocently. He looked adorable while playing ignorant, but I can't fall into his trap.

"You know what I am talking," even though butterflies dancing in my stomach, I stood my ground.

"What Emerald? I seriously have no idea what are you talking about." He stated, still portraying an oblivious character, however, he would not be getting away from it easily.
