I was scared.

I was scared to face Aiden.

The doctors were examining him and after that, he was free to leave. I stood outside the door waiting for him to come out with Eric and Mr. Stallard.

Two days.

Since he talked to me.

Two days.

Since he told me he doesn't want to see my face.

Two days.

I was heartbroken.

Two days.

Of silently crying.

Two days.

Of chaos.

But still, I didn't let my hope quench.

I was only wishing that his anger would have been subdued by now, after that, I will work hard to earn his forgiveness. I just wanted him to understand me with a calm and collected mind.

The doctor came first, followed by Mr. Stallard and Eric. Mr. Stallard glanced at me but without saying anything, he went with the doctor, he knew I had been in Aiden's room but for some reason, he didn't seem to mind it. He never spoke a word with me, but I was able see in his eyes, the flashes of respect for me. Maybe, he had seen how much I care for Aiden.

" He is coming," Eric said, standing next to me as if it was a cue, Aiden stepped out of the hospital room.

Slowly, I exhaled the breath that I was holding for a long moment. He appeared handsome even with the faint bruises, however, the heavy bags underneath his eyes and the withering emotions in his gaze could tell he wasn't feeling fine from within.

He wandered straight without glancing here and there, and we started pursuing him. From the way his shoulder was tense and his eyes were hard, I comprehended that knew I was following him. Yet, he still didn't say a word or give any sign of acknowledgment and continued to stride at extreme speed.

It hurts, but at least he wasn't pushing me away.

Soon, in utmost silence, we reached Eric's car. Eric quickly sat in the driver's seat, and Aiden on the seat beside him, while I occupied the back seat.

The heavy silence was interrupted sharply by Aiden.

"Take me to my house," he said, realizing that the route on which we were driving led to Eric's house. His voice was so deep that melted my heart like chocolate. Two days, and I was longing to hear this melodious sound.

"But son, you are injured. Stay in my house for a few days, there Emerald, Samantha, and I can take good care of you." Eric said.

"Take me to mine or else I am going on my own," his tone was calm; however, his serenity was scarier than walking in the graveyard at night.

Eric sighed, heavily.

He knew that Aiden would not vary with his demand, so he changed the routes to our home. It was fine, I will be there with Aiden, and I will make sure the proper care of him would be taken if required, then I was ready to spend hours without sleeping if he needed me. I will take care of him.

The entire time I was indulged in thoughts, I was trying to find ideas for making Aiden's health better and for earning forgiveness.

After a few minutes of driving, we finally reached our home. Aiden whisked out of the car, slamming the door, harshly behind him. Delivering a small thankful smile to Eric, I too started wandering behind him.

Hardly a few steps I had taken, but a cold, deep voice halted me.

" Where are you going?" Aiden turned around, and his forest eyes fastened with mine. The bright light of the sun fell over his face, bringing the glow, however, his gaze was darkened with malice and it tainted the glory of his refinement.
