As you stepped out of your car, you couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over you. You were back in your hometown, a small, peaceful town with charming cobblestone streets and twinkling Christmas lights adorning every corner. It was a picture-perfect scene, and the town square was bustling with people sipping hot cocoa and admiring the giant Christmas tree in the center.
You smiled as you made your way to your parents' house, carrying your bag of gifts. You were excited to spend the holidays with your family and catch up with old friends.
As you reached the front door, you were greeted by your mother's warm embrace.
"Y/N, it's so good to have you back home," she said, her eyes sparkling with joy.
"It's good to be back, Mom," you replied with a grin.
Your father appeared from behind your mother, giving you a tight hug and welcoming you back.
"There's my little girl." But as soon as he let go, he asked, "So where's your girlfriend? Isn't she joining us for the holidays?"
You took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to explain the situation, knowing that your parents were looking forward to spending time with her during the holidays. But unfortunately, she had other plans.
"Um, actually, she won't be joining us this year," you said, trying to sound casual as the three of you entered the living room.
"What? Why not?" your mother asked with a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"Well, she has some important plans with her family back in Korea," you explained.
"Oh, that's a shame. We were looking forward to finally meeting her," your father said with a frown.
You felt guilty for disappointing your parents, but you knew that Rosie wouldn't have missed her family's Christmas for anything. Plus, she had already been away from them for so long due to her busy schedule as a part of BLACKPINK.
"I know, I'm sorry. She really wishes she could be here," you said, hoping to ease their disappointment.
Your mother patted your hand sympathetically and said, "It's okay. We understand. Family is important."
You nodded in agreement, grateful that your parents were understanding of the situation. You knew they would have loved to have your girlfriend around, but you also didn't want to leave her family behind during the holidays.
"Well, let's not dwell on it. We have a lot of catching up to do. Why don't you freshen up, and then we can sit down for some hot cocoa and cookies?" your mother suggested.
You smiled and nodded, grateful for your parents' warm welcome and understanding nature.
You quickly headed to your old room, which was still kept the same way you left it many years ago. But just as you walked in, you received a text from your girlfriend.
Rosie
Hey babe, I miss you so much. I have a surprise for you, but you have to come to the town square.Curious, you grabbed your coat and rushed out the door, ignoring your mother's questions about your sudden departure.
As you reached the town square, you searched for your girlfriend among the crowds of people. Suddenly, you heard a familiar voice calling your name.
"Y/N!" Rosie exclaimed, waving frantically at you.
You couldn't believe your eyes as you saw your girlfriend standing in front of you, dressed in a cute red beanie and matching scarf. You instantly pulled her into a hug, feeling grateful for the unexpected surprise.
