You woke up to the blaring of your alarm at 6 a.m. as usual. You groaned and slammed your hand on the snooze button, eager for five more minutes of sleep before starting your morning routine.
As a detective in the Seoul Police Department, your days were always packed with work. After reluctantly dragging yourself out of bed, you got ready and headed to the station.
"Good morning, Detective Y/N," your partner, Sergeant Park, greeted you as you walked into the office. "We've got a new case for you."
You rubbed the remaining sleep from your eyes. "Already? What is it?"
"Another burglary was reported last night. High-end jewelry and watches were stolen from a mansion in Gangnam. The owners are demanding we find the culprit fast," he explained, handing you the case file.
You skimmed through the details. No signs of forced entry... Nothing was damaged. It was a clean break-in by an experienced thief.
"Any leads or suspects?" you asked.
"The thieves left no traces behind as usual, but the MO matches one from previous robberies in the area. I think we may have a serial burglar on our hands," Sergeant Park replied.
You nodded in thought. A skilled burglar had been terrorizing the wealthy neighborhoods of Gangnam for months without getting caught. They never made mistakes, so it would not be easy to identify the culprit. But you were determined to crack the case.
"I'll head to the crime scene and look for any clues they may have missed. Let me know if any other reports come in," you said, grabbing your coat and keys.

You arrived at the massive mansion and began surveying the room that was ransacked. The owners were frantic and pleading for the police to do something.
After examining every inch and finding nothing out of the ordinary, you started to lose hope. That's when your eyes landed on a single black hair trapped under the leg of an expensive armchair. You carefully plucked it out with tweezers and sealed it in an evidence bag, hoping it could provide a lead through DNA analysis.
It was late afternoon by the time you returned to the station. You handed the hair sample off to the lab and waited impatiently for the results. A few hours later, your phone buzzed. It was the lab technician.
Donghyuk
We got a match on the DNA profile. The hair belongs to Roseanne Park.
Your eyes widened in surprise.
Roseanne Park was a known petty criminal with a long rap sheet, but she had never been tied to such high-profile burglaries before.
You thanked the tech and immediately pulled up her file.
From her photos, she was a stunning woman with elegantly defined features and long, dark hair, fitting the description of someone who could easily blend in at wealthy homes undetected.
You tracked down Roseanne's last known address, which led you to a rundown apartment in a sketchy part of town. Knocking loudly, you heard shuffling from inside before the door swung open to reveal the woman herself. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of your police badge.
"Roseanne Park? I'm Detective Y/N from the Seoul Police. May I come in?" you asked firmly but politely.
She scrutinized you for a moment before sighing and stepping aside to let you enter. The small living space was sparsely furnished but tidy. Roseanne leaned against the kitchen counter, waiting for you to start interrogating her.
