Nunew didnt see Zee for a couple of days. He knew his mom is coming home so he didnt bother him much. He still helps on the project but its more emails and calls at the moment.

Zee wouldnt end the day without calling him though. Zee would always ring him in the evening, no matter how late it is. Like tonight.

It's already 1am but Nunew is still awake. He's reading a new book that he got from the bookstore yesterday. He was so engrossed in the story that he didnt realize what time it is.

His concentration was interrupted by his phone beeping. He lazily picked it up and saw that its Zee.

"Are you still awake Nunu?"

Nunew smiled. Zee would always message first before he calls. What a considerate guy he is isnt he?

"Yep"

Nu's phone then rang, Nunew smiled immediately as he picks up the call

"Cant sleep yet?"

Zee already called earlier as he drives back home from work. So Nunew thought he has already fallen asleep since its been a while. But it seems like he still cant

"I actually just arrived home. You're reading arent you?"
Zee said to Nu

"Arrived home? But we talked earlier and you said you're on your way home. That was like 1hr ago." Nunew said

"And yes, im reading" Nu continued

"My mom was visiting friends, so she rang me on my way home to pick her up. Apparently she cant get a cab home" Zee said to Nunew

"So you just arrived in your flat then?" Nunew asked

"Im at our family house. Im staying here tonight. Im so tired to drive. Do you know how long she dragged me around the mall to shop? Oh god I dont want to see another mall again" Nunew giggled as Zee complains

"Its not funny! My feet hurts" Zee whined like a kid.

"Okay okay, im sorry. Why dont you soak them in warm bath then?" Nunew suggested

"Im too lazy to get up" Zee said to him

His door then suddenly opened revealing his mom

"Pukpuk, can you drive me tomorrow to see your godmother? We agreed to meet up un the afternoon" Zee's mom said

"Ma, can you atleast knock?" Zee complained

"And yes i will take you to see maemae." Zee sighed

"Oh are you talking to that one again? You should let me meet him soon, its rare for you to spend hours on phone." She told him

"Well atleast you're talking to somebody. I thought you'd end up being a monk" she said again

Zee can hear Nunew giggling on the other line

"Ma, he's fluent in english too. So can you stop embarassing me please?" Zee said to his mom

"Oh goodie, tell him I want to meet him. He sounds lovely by the looks of it. Anyway, Im gonna sleep now, I swear this jetlag is so annoying" She said as she goes out of Zee's room

She stopped though just before she closes Zee's door.

"And Zee Pruk, lock your door if you dont want people barging in." She gave Zee a stern tone and a hard stare.

"Yes ma'am" Zee immediately said before his mother closed the door.

Nunew then let out a full blown laugh
